He Who Lurks -> How Do You Feel About EpicDuel Having No Basic Purchasing System? (2/16/2011 17:05:22)

Evidence 1
Evidence 2

As you can tell from the images above, EpicDuel doesn't seem to have a basic purchasing system. They're several items within EpicDuel that should honestly cost way less than several other items.
What do you think? What other example can you find?

EDIT: I'll elaborate a bit more on the subject. These weapons are the same exact price but they greatly differ in power by a huge margin. Axes of fury has 26+ stat boost and 6 enhancement slots, whilst overlord claws has 24+ stat points and 5 enhancements slots. Let's not forget that overlord claws has a much steeper requirement.

its same price I don't see anything wrong.

i think some weapons should cost less.
i think it should be like this:

good==>800
better==>900
best==>995

for each level not all together. so a level 31 weapon that costs 995 should be a level 32's better-best.

the other problem of this is that they cant keep making weapons of the same level stronger then the others or it wouldnt be fair. they would need more levels and in the end people will just complain that theres no level 33 weapons(example) and the weapons are not strong enough so they wont buy them.

I wonder why you picked axes of fury and ovelrord claws, both are decent claws and they are worth the price IMO (compared to other weps)

currently, the pricing (varium prices at least) for lv 30 and BELOW weps r a bit dangly, I mean a lv 27-28 wep might only cost about 250 var and a lv 30+ wep costing 950 or so varium

it's not quite balanced, but I always thought of 900-1000 var for a top-notch wep to be fair pricing

I see that everyone has been confused about the topic at hand. I'm comparing the prices with stats, not power being based on credits/varium. They're both the same price whilst axes of fury has 2 more stat points, a less steep requirement, and it has 6 enhancements(if I remember correctly). Time to change the head post...

eragonshadeslayer67 -> RE: How Do You Feel About EpicDuel Having No Basic Purchasing System? (2/16/2011 19:00:40)

^ I had an idea of ur post refering to stats

also overlord claws were released first, then axes of fury, good things come to people who w8 I guess.....

also u can't penalize 42 dex because most str builds use dex+str and require no tech or sup (before the BL/SA requirements anyways)

also even though ovelrord claws lack a bit in stats, there's always this kind of things in games (I mean same stat/dmg just spread out differently is boring) and overlord claws will benefit dex/sup builds A LOT more than AoF I mean the +8 str from AoF is pretty much useless for dex/sup builds whilst the sup from overlord claws is a lot more useful

This is because overlord claws was released a long time ago. Of course newer weapons will come out and be stronger.

It costs atleast 20$ for a good fully enhanced primary.

He Who Lurks -> RE: How Do You Feel About EpicDuel Having No Basic Purchasing System? (2/16/2011 20:32:33)

Raph21, But why the same price? I've seen much worse example of a broken purchasing system this.

TurkishIncubus -> RE: How Do You Feel About EpicDuel Having No Basic Purchasing System? (2/17/2011 9:53:13)

^ yes but their modifiers located in different only higher stat isnt enough , if i had to use an energy claw i would choose overlord , in my opinion Physical weps good with str bonus and energy weps good with no str bonus for Bounty hunters

The Slayer and the Overlord Guard have different philosophies on pricing. :3

Light Stridr -> RE: How Do You Feel About EpicDuel Having No Basic Purchasing System? (2/17/2011 12:09:32)

Everybody Does.
Take Motor Blades for example. You can buy it for 892 credits, but walk 1 screen further and you can buy it for under 700. Seriously, what is with the merchants here?
