Well, the DFGD has a sticky topic, the =AK= Ultimate Best/Worst/Favorite/Least Favorite -thread, which is a topic to tell which <insert thing here> is your favorite/least favorite/best. There are examples in the first post:

  • Most enjoyable quest?
  • Least favourite storyline?



    • Then I thought, "What a good idea to have one in the OOC!". People could tell what they like/hate/admire the best, or what soda they don't like. Of course, the examples could be changed, because I don't have favorite armor colors in my real life. [:D]

    Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh, the reason why the Ultimate Threads (Created by yours truly) were invented was to limit the amount of those types of threads. See, in the past, those threads were choking up the discussions of the forums, with favorite shield, armor and weapons threads taking up the spot on the front page that could be used for some actual discussion. So the Ultimate Thread system was put in place so that way other threads could live.

    OOC, as far as I can see, really doesn't have that problem like the GDS do/did. So I think it wouldn't be beneficial there.

    People in the OOC have the freedom to post about individual topics and discuss them. We do not allow listing threads in the OOC, which this ultimately is. People want to talk about their favourite soda, then we have a thread discussing that. We've had discussions in the past about weapons, armours, foods, countries, vacations... it goes on and on. That is the purpose of the OOC, to talk about these favourites in depth.
