i agree, especcially cosiddering the following PM's: quote:
Dear Adam Artix Bohn I am writing to you today to not only thank you for the years of my online gaming entertainment but to appeal to you about my concern. As one of your more senior players, your games were the very first online games that I have played and are still my favourites. Since the merger between Artix Entertainment and EpicDuel I have been a loyal fan of this game. It was quite different and unique to your other quest style games and presented me with a nice challenge to figure out strategies and different types of builds. Also I was proud to be given the status of founder finally for one of your games as I had not become a member straight up for AQWorlds when I joined there in October 11th 2008. I am writing to appeal to you to make EpicDuel similar to your other games in the respect of offering membership with varium included. Maybe this is not possible but I do wish to inform you that you are losing so many founders/betas due to the cost intensive and aggressive marketing. To be able to compete successfully it has become an issue to buy the latest weapons which has now included an enhancement with a cost of more varium. To give you an idea how costly EpicDuel has become I can easily spend $50.00 in one month or in some cases in almost a fortnight. Whereas, AQWorlds gives me a whole year membership with 10,000 ac coins for $55.00. The coins that I spend in AQWorld are purely for my own pleasure and not simply because I “have to have” them to keep up with the game. EpicDuel, unlike your other games offers no varium buy back either. So in effect if you sell a bought item (995-1500 varium) with which you have spent (upwards to 1400 varium) on enhancing you get nothing in return. Therefore you have just thrown $10 - $20 cash away. I have even mistakenly bought the same item twice with no opportunity to regain any of the cost. I have spoken to many friends and players in the game and the main concern is how costly the game is. It is purely for the love of EpicDuel that I would like to see some timely cost effective options put into place so EpicDuel can become truly one of the pleasurable games I have enjoyed with Artix Entertainment. I thank you, in advance, :) for taking the time to listen. Cheers Your loyal fan Sharon aka Shadronica McPherson. quote:
Ok I know that Buffy can definitely push our buttons lol but this time she has managed to get my message to Artix. Here it is and WOW!! Hello... Buffy Here. :) Nythera forwarded your message to Artix and he replied to my email address to You...Here is his response: --- Sharon, Thank you for your well worded and sincere email regarding epic duel. I am going to meet with Titan to discuss your letter and make suggestions on how to better balance the game. Please know this that has been a constant challenge in all of our games... It is a delicate tightrope to walk paying for the servers, staff and costs while creating a fun, fair balanced game that all players can enjoy. I really appreciate the way you handled this and we will do our very best to make positive change because of it! Battle on! Artix Sent from my iPad (<Artix iPad) WOOT!!! My heart feels lightened about the future of ED. Well lets see what Artix can do for us. ~Content~ I am so happy.
