can you tell me the NPC look like warbot armor , there isnt , its not NPC based and there can be female robots too

Well, since you said "look like" I'd point out Junkerbot for you. Not only that but these armors are "one-size-fits-all" armors.

helloguy -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 19:53:32)

Just because most of us support this,it doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Pebbles1 -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 20:31:49)

Oh well, looks like ill be a turtle then. hehe

xxmirxx -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 20:37:58)

above

you can be like of guys now .

Cinderella -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 23:35:09)

You're confusing the already-ambiguous robot genders! (100 Internets to the first person to get that reference)

The robot armours are kind of gender ambiguous because robots are gender ambiguous. And the George Lowe space armour is supposed to look like George Lowe's armour. I don't really see a problem with there not being a difference between the male and female versions.

Armors work differently in the art here than in Runescape.

I'm actually a little uncomfortable with the insistence on female armours being sexier- we do have a lot of younger players whose parents might disapprove of more revealing outfits for the women. Earlier in Beta, there was a huge controversy over the female gothic armour, where I even got in a fight over whether female characters who chose to use the armour were asking to be harassed over it- I did use the Gothic armor at the time and sold it because of the harassment I was getting for having a costume that was "too sexy". I chose Bounty Hunter as my class because it was the least revealing starting outfit, and I actually find it refreshing that I can be a female character and also fully clothed.

Wraith -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 23:37:01)

^The Space Warrior armor can be replaced with Charfade's, yknow. Her NPC has one.

Cinderella -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 23:41:13)

@Lord Sinastr- if Charfade wants to release her personal armour, that's Charfade's decision.

helloguy -> RE: Female Armor (3/22/2011 23:47:48)

It's funny how EVERY mod goes against what the players want. It's like tha skins tell them to do that so they won't have to make our ideas a reality.

Cinderella -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 0:10:00)

@helloguy, I'm not being told what to say or to disagree with you. I have opinions as well.

Womba -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 0:13:17)

@helloguy It's not that AE doesn't listen. It's just we cant expect them to do everything WE want.

od -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 0:46:03)

@Cinderella
that's strange, on the wiki, the gothic hunter doesn't reaveal anything at All. Did they change it?

Cinderella -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 0:50:37)

@od no. It was the fact that it's a corset with fishnet tights.

helloguy -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 1:13:26)

@littlewomba We cant expect them to do everything,especially since they can't even give us the simplest of request like a MAKING A FEMALE VERSION OF A ARMOR.

Shadronica -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 1:18:25)

I personally would love to see a female Space Warrior armor its a bit too bulky even for my female mercenary. ;)

xxmirxx -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 1:38:21)

Cinderella I have to agree with you. but still they change looks to make less fat looking.

voidance -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 2:46:36)

@Cinderella
That may be true but Runescapes coding is alot more complex then Epicduels since Runescape is a 3Dementional game so i know it can be done. I am also not trying to suggest we turn Epicduel into Runescape but Jagex is very crafty in their design and i think why not use some of it. (aslong as its not Patend of course)

Ashari -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 3:48:37)

@Cinderella: I certainly don't want skimpy outfits either, but it would be nice to have something to distinguish females from males. I mean founder armor did a great job while covering everything up. This certainly doesn't mean we need male & female robot armors, but in the future I hope the trend switches back to have different looking armors for each gender.

I made a female character for a reason. I just don't want to be forced to look like a guy in these armors. ;)

xxmirxx -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 3:55:14)

OMG in other words your guy real life.

voidance -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 5:03:11)

No shes saying she chose to be a girl on here because shes a girl in real life.

veneeria -> RE: Female Armor (3/23/2011 6:48:33)

even understanding the robot one, it seams still unreasonable to not have a different gender to the george lowe one? Anyway i support, feels kinda weird to be of a different gender.. i mean.. what would you boys feel to go battles in a woman armor with a male face? though, this is just my opinion. >.>

LANDIS -> RE: Female Armor (3/24/2011 17:49:09)

I think Cindy and Ash both make excellent points. Having family friendly armor that isn't provocative or over-sexualized is a good idea. It makes harassment by some of the more lecherous players less likely. On the same token, I believe it's possible for the female versions of armors to be made feminine, even sexy, while still remaining classy.

Additionally, not having over-revealing armor is a lot more practical. If I'm going into battle I'm going to feel a lot more protected being covered head to toe in something with the durability and appearance of Founders or SpaceRanger armor vs. a dog collar, corset and fishnets. I think a balance can be reached with a little effort to make the female versions of armor appear both elegant and functional.

As for the Robot and SpceRanger armors specifically... As others have said, most robots don't have gender attributes so it's reasonable for the male and female versions of that armor to be the same. And, as bulky as the SpaceRanger armor looks on women, it's appropriate that there is not a female version of it. It's supposed to literally be the George Lowe NPC's armor and he's a man. Just because a woman puts it on doesn't mean it's gong to morph to fit the contours of her physique.

I assume that the ED Artists will continue to make both male and female versions of armors in the future when appropriate, in the two cases above it wasn't so it doesn't concern me. It will however be interesting to see if Tuna, Char and other possible female NPC's in the future will make duplicates of their personal armors available for purchase. If so I'd expect gender equality in their implementation. Namely, that if male characters want to wear them they better be prepared to have on armor that fits a bit tight and looks like it was built for a woman... ;)

helloguy -> RE: Female Armor (3/24/2011 18:57:17)

Can we call this Sexist?

xxmirxx -> RE: Female Armor (3/24/2011 19:22:24)

TurkishIncubus -> RE: Female Armor (3/25/2011 12:47:46)
