Unlightened -> 4-5 levels higher than you at mid levels? (3/25/2011 20:48:07)

Well, in my opinion the difference of levels should be focused to 1-3 levels higher or lower. Not 4 or 5. I play with other players which are very high level for my standards, 25-26. You have almost 0% chance to win unless they fail hardcore with their builds.

Edit: Oh god I just got another 25. I'm only level 21 for god's sake. I really hope what you guys know how I feel.
Edit2: I just vsed 3 more level 26 and 1 level 25. Won againts 25 thanks to luck and lost to 3 26s. :'(...

Yes we do. And sorry. I know it is hard. We all went through it too. I also think three levels would be enough.

this has been added to the suggestions section on many occasions. in 2v2 the gap can be as high as 9 levels

The only way it can be higher then 5 in 2v2 is if your t mate leaves which makes it like a 25-32 diffrence. And if you must try to say im wrong a picture is worth a thousand words. Meaning Pm a screenie of this 6-9 lvl diffrence.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: 4-5 levels higher than you at mid levels? (3/25/2011 21:30:25)

I should of been clearer. your teammate can be 9 levels higher/lower if the range of the enemy team is within 5 of each

so could be 32-23 vs 25-30

There's a reason why this has never gone through despite this issue being valid and being mentioned more than many other balance issues - This is a way to increase the number of battles you would be able to do. Decreasing the level ranges dereases the potential number of fights you can do within a certain timeframe. If ED had more players, then the staff would happily lower encounter ranges.

^ Not true? I can fight lot's of level near me? But it has totally changed. I did not fight anyone lower than me atm. All I get is level 24-26. Literally.

Edit: Anyways, I rather win then get fast games of losing.

voidance -> RE: 4-5 levels higher than you at mid levels? (3/25/2011 21:52:50)

Thats still not a 9 lvl gap in diffrence, 32+23=55 and 25+30=55 which makes the gap 55-55=0.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: 4-5 levels higher than you at mid levels? (3/25/2011 21:57:48)

if the gap was lowered to 3 you wouldnt see a 32 and 23 on same team and thats good especially as the 32s can get so
abusive at being "given" a lowbie partner. I think they should at least try it out and see if it has a big effect on the queue
time for 1v1 and 2v2 battles. I really dont believe it will personally but ofc im speculating

matches like this seem stupid. altho its not a perfect example my partner is 9 levels lower and 3 between teams

All i was saying was its not a 9 level diffrence in the gap, but i do see that your saying sometimes we can get Tmates that are 9 levels under us, but tbh those matches are easy most times because the enemys are usualy 28&28 or something.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: 4-5 levels higher than you at mid levels? (3/25/2011 22:16:04)

i removed the first line of my last post :)

Id just like em to test the idea and see what its like but one thing i hadnt considered is the effect on the economy.
the large gap in some matches can be very rewarding if you win, might mean an entire overhaul of prices, and xp. something i dont see happening.

Yea the 5 level diffrence fight in 2v2 reward you with 100+ credits.(i think its 106 to be spot on)
