Sasword -> Who else thinks this game needs more love? (3/28/2011 13:05:26)

Sure its not the biggest game, but still its pretty cool at least deserving of a forum that isnt shoved into the corner of the AQ section. Personally I actually prefer it over AdventureQuest because I have always preferred sci fi stuff over fantasy, though I still like fantasy stuff. Heck I even have my WF character page instead of my AQ one down there with my character page links.

It seems that just like MQ, WF needs alot more love than it gets, who else agrees?

Robo0000100 -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (3/29/2011 0:34:19)

I agree [:)] It's really bad: "Players Online: 82" ... [&:]
WarpForce need at least 5 new items for month, not only 2 [&:] ... And add some items to shop, not only quest for high super level
And some new war can be cool too, I think lots of players will play when war will be relased.

Oh and I can't forget, EVERYBODY WANT BALLYHOO xD

Please limit yourself to three smilies per post, thanks ~$b

Nex del Vida -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (3/29/2011 11:14:35)

I agree entirely. WarpForce is an excellent game, and deserves more attention from the playerbase than it gets. However, the attention of players varies pretty directly with the amount of staff effort that can be put into a game, and the AE staff have a lot of other duties to perform. At the moment WarpForce can't be given all of the love it deserves by the staff, which means player interest is waning. But I've never known AE to give up on a project, even if it takes a long time--a prime example is the Sweep in AdventureQuest. So I am confident that if we just give it some more time, WarpForce will achieve its full (and very large) potential.

disciplev1 -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (3/29/2011 15:13:15)

My main issue is with the number of unresolved bugs, particularly those that can (I'm pretty sure) be fixed fairly quickly (items such as wrong elements on weapons - Disc Flinger, and wrong costs on skills) that have persisted for several release cycles. It's items like that which make the game feel a little under-cared for, and a lack of variety and gaps in equipment (seriously, you could drive a bus through the holes in level/element coverage for skills/techs) which turns players off. Mind you, I'm currently level 88 and starting the grind to the cap (obviously with an upgraded account), so obviously some people will over look this, but I think that's what makes it difficult for the game to gain traction.

Sunutsu -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (3/31/2011 18:49:16)

I would play more if they didn't require me to level up 9 times in order to do a couple of quests. I would also play more if they had a mage build with magic weapons(I don't care if their in space).
I like the game but if they fixed those few things i would be happy.

Robo0000100 -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/1/2011 13:49:07)

And BTW, WarpForce is too easy game. I can kill everyone monster with 200 STR. They should add something like Carnax in AQ.

Please refrain to one signature per page, thanks ~$b

Captain Kuchiki -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/3/2011 16:17:59)

I definitely agree to this, I had always known about WF but never started until I had enough to begin as a WarpGuardian, completely worth it, and seriously needs more attention than this. Here's hoping that WF will one day expand at least as half of AQ has. It's entertaining, yes it has some bugs in weapons and armors, they point that out in their encyclopedia as well and such. WF could definitely use more staff members to better develop the game with features (Species Change, Additional Hairstyles, Name change, etc.), as well as new items. Im still a way to go for the WaprGuardian Cap, but I doubt I will get bored once I reach it, though it wouldn't hurt to add the 'Skip Cutscene' button for the missions from the others, heh. Definitely funner than MQ, and I like AQ and WF equally despite the lack of it's expansion.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/4/2011 7:24:25)

I had to redo quests several times over to gain levels, then I was required to do the quests again to buy new equipment as I had outgrown mine already and got bored of the quests by the time I got to the next quest so gave up out of frustration.

No doubt the storyline is good, yet the game never gave me the chance to get really into it.

Mikey Pisan -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/5/2011 2:52:25)

I hate how it seems to take forever to level up. No matter how much I grind, it takes forever to earn enough XP to make it to the next level. I can't do the next quest for another 2 or 3 levels, so I just end up playing something else.

Trash Talker -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/5/2011 4:21:16)

I definitely agree Warpforce needs more recognition from AE players, and even gamers that don't play AE games often. The majority of total players on Warpforce (2,348) is extremely slack compared to the humungous games like DF and AQW that contain more than 10 million players. But, Warpforce is an amazing game with techniques just like AQ and the other games. But as soon as Warpforce catches up to it's popularity and awesome gameplay I reckon this game could achieve 9,000 players in no time!

EDIT: Hey, it's not my favorite game but it's really enjoyable to play :). And Robo000100, that Warpforce character of yours is sick! (I mean sick in awesome).

Fenraith -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/8/2011 15:06:23)

WarpForce has the potential to go a great ways if it received the time it deserves. I think that the AQ employees should take a week off to work on WarpForce, and then assign a small team of 5-10 people to work on the game every week.

BobRawr -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/9/2011 0:15:39)

Yeah, this is game developing very slowly if not at all. I think that instead of diversifying and creating more games. Artix Entertainment should work on improving their current games, and assign more developers. This game has the potential of going very very far. Combining aspects of AdventureQuest and MechQuest, in terms of armors, items and classes.

Kaelin -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/9/2011 3:56:05)

It wouldn't fix everything, but WF would do well to fill in some more inventory gaps.

Best Gauntlet Res: Water (0!!!), Dark (-12), Energy (-18)
Best Battlesuit Res: Water (68), Wind (74: L96 WG no-drop)
Offensive Techs (not counting the omni-element Creation and low-level techs): Water, Wind, Ice (just Ice + Light multi-element), Earth (Nanotech suffers from equipment compression)
Summon Techs: We only have Water and Healing (unless you count level 40 Zorboz for Dark).
Misc Items: We have Virin Buddy (which is bugged to cost a turn), Astramorph (reasonably useful), and a bunch of items that end up being pretty useless to low-level players and generally even high-level players because they have -Res in two elements (which costs a prohibitive amount of MP/SP).

It's not to say we need every element covered on both Tech categories, but it is important for Gauntlets/Battlesuits to cover everything, and for summons to cover more elements (hopefully with better spread along the element wheel). More misc items would be nice as well, but there are still generally-useful alternatives for burning SP.

(All this is to say nothing of pets, but as a non-BM build, I have only paid pets the minimum amount of attention.)

arcangelgabrel -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/13/2011 15:27:34)

Yeah, I think it could receive more love, but what should be expected from an "expansion" off adventure quest? Expansions/sequels, rarely get the love they deserve, especially when the same understaffed staff do the releases for it and for its more popular predecessor.

Slevin -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/15/2011 23:07:39)

I try to enjoy the game as much as i can but it really limits you if you want to play a mage class. I dont get a staff that actually does magic damage till 65 and not to mention i have to gain 10 levels before a new quest line. I really wish it got more attention because I payed Warp Guardian out of hopes it would become a great game when it first came out but to be honest its about the same with slight added stuff compared to other games. The sci-fi nature of it really attracted me to the game I hope it becomes more than just a expansion with little attention and into a game of its own. I know they said they would do monthly updates but I wish it would get more attention to at least every two weeks or something. Any enough of me ranting I still have high hopes for the game and wish I could see the player base grow so the game can become what everyone wants it to be an awesome Sci-Fi fantasy game.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/16/2011 18:09:07)

It doesn't limit you if you play Technician (not "Mage," Technician). Guns do the same amount of damage as Magic weapons. Furthermore, it would make little sense to have a multitude of Magical weapons - there's very little magic in space.

Slevin -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/17/2011 7:56:25)

You dont get your first (technician) staff till 65 otherwise your just using range weapons the whole time with magic more as a side thing. It makes since to have options if they didnt want magic or some form of it they should not have gave us spell like moves or mp and just made us use SP the whole time

Please explain how it doesnt limit magic or whatever you choose to call it for players trying to go for a build like that

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/17/2011 8:05:32)

quote:

Guns do the same amount of damage as Magic weapons.

Did you read this?

Firstly.

Secondly, the universe is based on Magic, even if it really isn't that evident in space. Canonically, there ARE sources of magic. The Unaga, as very magical beings, have found ways of producing Magic to use in space. Dark Madder, as a ridiculously skilled Mage and Necromancer, has also done this; it may also have to do with properties of her Staff. Creation is magical for obvious reasons. Finally, the UniForce has already been explained as one of the only working Magicks in space.

Thirdly, it's not "MP". Technically, it's "EP" - Energy Points. As a Technician, you're using the energy in your Battlesuit to use technology and skills.

Fourthly, it doesn't limit a build like that because you're SUPPOSED to use Guns.

Slevin -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/17/2011 8:18:05)

Firstly what if people dont want to use guns the only other route to go is warrior and Ive done enough warrior I wanted to try something different and become a technician because the game said you could.

Secondly we know a person who is versed in Uniforce magic would it make sense for him to teach us some of it to help us advance against the evils in space.

Third EP or MP you still train intellect to raise it if the creators didnt want magic or some form of technical skills or weapons to be in space it should not have been put in

Your not just supposed to be restricted to guns its supposed to have options technician skills were placed there for people who wanted to go that route but there hasent been much improvement for them.

Honestly does it really matter if they do the same damage the truth is I wanted to be a technician or mage for this game and there is not as many options for them as their is warrior saying Im only supposed to use guns just limits what I want to do as a player

moneybags -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/17/2011 19:40:46)

You aren't restricted to anything. Heck, you can be a Striker and use guns. But you're just losing out on the damage. And as Orodolf said, guns and magic weapons deal the same amount of damage. Why not use guns when there aren't a lot of magic weapons? As to skills and techs, there may be a few gaps but there are gaps for a lot of other equipment too, such as the best wind weapon only being the Sonic Axe.

There aren't going to be many Magic weapons made as stated by devs, but when they are available they are usually good alternatives.

Anyhoo, we're drifting away from the topic. Let's get on-topic, shall we? :)

XDD -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (4/27/2011 8:55:34)

I absolutely think this game needs love and lots of it!*Calls Twig for hug attack*
I would love this game if it wouldn't be so...Boring,plain,small and tied to level.[;)]

element resistance -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (5/1/2011 23:18:03)

Of course Warpforce needs to be loved alot. Sure Adventurequest maybe has a mess up balance issue, but hey, it's still a good game. I like Warpforce better because were in space and I love doing something space related. In the mean time Warpforce should be getting loved by almost all people in the future. [&:]

wolvenbob -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (5/13/2011 16:48:32)

i personally, agree. while i DO prefer adventure quest ove warpforce, its a close call, and i think warpforce should be accorded the same stuff and attention that adventure quest does, and not be shoved in the back, even if it is an offshoot of AQ.

Avantir -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (5/19/2011 19:01:16)

I just reached level 25 today. My big problem with the game is the leveling system. All missions have a requirement, and all are too far apart. You constantly have to do a lot of grinding to continue. Other than that, it's a pretty good game. (Which is saying something. I don't like AQ)

Artus -> RE: Who else thinks this game needs more love? (5/25/2011 20:29:46)

It does need some love... Tough love

1.- I get it thereīs lots of things the staff wants to tell with the devourer saga BUT do Ireally need to take them in big chunks... I feel like whoever is in charge of the story is thinking more in a scifi book NOT in a game, so please give me a skip button, if you dougt it look a the warp crystals since the begining in mute :P

2.- IF this game is indeed an expansion it should behave like one, usually an expansion gives nice cool features that the original one doesnīt have and thereīs always a nice pretty little bonus, it could be anything from more powerfull items to easier leveling and this can be done because itīs an expansion not the main game.

3.- Since there are level restraints to quests, then in order to have them and if you want people to play them, then there can not be inventory gaps (wich is one of the things that led me to the 1st point up there), specially in the main storyline (itīs not the same from lvl 20 to 25 that from 70 to 75)

4.- Back then when WF was launched I saw some posts in AQ that some weps were released thanks to the fact they were tested first here, that apparently stopped specially around the SP stuff (if you want to use a misc, a guest and an armor skill you canīt) and since thereīs no magic in space (not to mention the mana potions :P, that could be renamed) then why not include the techs in the armors istead of recyling the same stuff over and over.

5.- Why not recycle stuff but in AQ that could speed things a little, its just that some of the art here itīs so nice and it must be in AQ (even in other colours please) please [:D]
