What does "PM status" mean (lock plz)

Title says it all. What does it mean when i go to my inbox and it says PM status, in between 1 and 100%? And why does it keep on rising?

"PM Status" indicates how close you are to being at your maximum PM storage limit. The more PMs you have the higher that bar goes. Deleting some PMs from your inbox will lower it back down.
