most of you just sound like typically jaded players. you are saying it was best when you first started playing, now a year or so later
it has lost some of the shine....erm well yeah, that's usually how it works. go play any MMORPG that has expansions and see all
the same kind of discussions. "blah blah expansion killed the game, it was better in vanilla"...then a new expansion comes out and
suddenly its "blah blah expansion killed the game, previous expansion was the best" and also "this expansion and the last one killed
the game, vanilla was the best"
....and so on.

then their is the popularity of the game. most beta games have a tight knit community because it is a game in beta stage, it's not like people
flooded to it by the thousands overnight. the community grew as the popularity of the game increased, which is perfectly normal. doesn't
make beta players special, nicer etc, just means that they are now more diluted among the masses.

and finally, notice in the very first post how he asks for name calling to stop, and comments on how everyone calls others noobs....quotes FTL ?
quote:

when i could sit in world 7 oz, and have a convo. with out all these noobs asking for fame, and keep spamming me if i dont?

quote:

sadly, now all we have are a bunch of noobs that sit around all days asking for fames

When I started playing (10 days after alpha ended), it was unfortunate for me who didn't know how ED worked!!! When I began my professional career it was almost gamma and my current tech mage build (support with deadly aim) was about to be trashed by the new gamma bots that lured me to focus. 30-34 res. and I had a lv 6-10 technician skill totalling about 100-150 technology points. Unfortunately I wasn't very popular so my idea never really caught on.

I DO remember buying the beta gear at lv 13 (hence greenrain13), I had no idea what def. or res. did but I still survived with a total play-time k/d of 2.0

I think I went to Oz world 7 as a noob and 1 or 3 good players dissed me so I didn't like you guys very much. Here I am today, I've made 4 factions in my lifetime totalling about 500k influence (all Exile)... I still use non-abusive strategy builds at 70-80% that still lose to mindless builds like support (before any healing nerfs) and strength. My newest and final faction that I will forever stick with is called "Ex" (Ex)... a 2 letter Exile faction with one mofo of a flag. Ummm, like most of my opinions to factions, we are going to be recreational and not competitive.

I was into rating a little bit, but I wasn't really a fan of achievements. I was stupid enough to get Landlord, which is up to today still hiding many of my spent credits and varium because I can't sell a house (houses allowed you to teleport to a given area). Founder armour was quite popular and powerful (but at the time not so "rare"), I was incredibly jealous of its status but was pleased upon the release of 7 and 8 point defence armours such as desert marine.

In beta I had switched from bounty hunter (starter) to tech mage because of energy regen. I met Zeal Overlord for the first time and was thoroughly impressed (he's probably still my #1 idol in the game).
