and u can do stuff with ur friends, if they are from Hawaii or somewhere in asia

I'm Australian so that doesn't really help.

And no I'm not taking it out any real life time for a game.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 6:12:05)

@tankmage.
and during this whole time we been arguing here u could have been fighting gaining exp faster.

Crovile V2 -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 15:00:26)

Well ! I do understand this Power Hour thingy prob. It's unsuitable for all. Easy way to solve this is let players activate the 2x whenever they want just like any other XP Booster. Or let it be on for like one whole server-24 hrs on a selected day like Saturday, automatically active for all players & a player will benefit from it for only 2 hrs and the rest of the day goes with normal XP.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 15:05:19)

@crovile
thee free boster seems easier.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 18:02:26)

I 100% agree we have school we cant stay up tell the whee hours of the night for a game to get Xtra EXP its just unsuitbale and during that time I am at school so yeah it doesnt work for me.

Cinderella -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 18:28:12)

there's an inherent problem with trying to set something like this- while it's 11:00PM for power hour in New York City, it's 6:00AM in Kiev, Ukraine, and 1:00 PM in Melbourne Australia, as an example. No matter what time is set, it's going to seem insensitive to our international players, and frequent power hours may not be convenient for everyone either. I'm not defending the choice, just saying that there may not be a simple solution to have a power hour that's convenient to every one of our players.

8x -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 18:46:04)

For me power hour is at 5:00 PM and AM.

jegaggin -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 20:36:43)

how about 11am 5pm 11pm 5am

Luna_moonraider -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 22:29:56)

how bout we can just simply choose our power hours that solves loads of problems. but once u choose your power hour u cant change it anymore to ensure fairness.

I like that luna but how about getting 2 power hours each day and using them at any time because what if a personal problem comes up or they cant log on etc

Cinderella -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 23:03:52)

@ luna, I'm not sure that would be a very elegant solution, given the amount of code that would require.

Wraith -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 23:19:44)

Simple. You get 2 exp boosters in your inventory. It wouldn't effect bag space tho...PLZ?I have 19/20 items.

Ashari -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 23:23:19)

The only way I would see this being fair across all time zones would be if the power hour shifted every day. If it went forward one hour each day, it would be on a 12 day cycle and everyone would have power hour be convenient for everyone at least 3-5 days every 12 days.

helloguy -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/13/2011 23:33:55)

that seem reasonable and fair

Bob. -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 1:51:55)

10:00 PM ed time is 8:00 PM in California.

Win

Xxbbooxx -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 4:25:48)

for me in new zealand, its a 3am-4am and 3am-4pm so i can only it in the weekends, since i finish school at 3:30 and get home at 4:30...

8x -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 5:09:35)

Power hour could just auto-start when you log in.

Luna_moonraider -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 5:14:07)

^hmm nice idea might be better than mine because it take lesser codes to do and sound logical.

Ashari -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 5:36:46)

@8rlx0: Not a bad idea!

That would certainly change the function of the power hour though. It'll become much more a bonus for casual players than it is now.

If someone only plays 30 minutes or an hour a day, they'd have the boost the whole time they are playing. It would be an interesting change and it would definitely make ED more friendly to the casual player.

thats what i said >.>

Arcanis -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 8:26:30)

Or just remove power hour idea. Sometimes the solution is as simple as that.[;)]

Master K -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 19:52:20)

@Rad: But then a lot of players who use PH would flame like anything. And players who wanted to use it will flame. So, that will put us farther into the hole.

Personally, Power Hour needs to be fixed. Not everyone lives in the US and can access power hour easily.
I live in Newfoundland, Canada. My Power Hour is either 1-2ish am, which is way to early for me, and parental and school restrictions.
Or, 1-2ish Pm, in which I have school.

So, power hour is royally wrecked for people like me.

Firewallblast -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/14/2011 20:36:59)

How bout a game interface that detects ur locstion and then with that location choosesv the best time?

jegaggin -> RE: Power Hours at Unsuitable times? (4/15/2011 4:58:02)

2 things with that solution. what happens if a player uses a vpn (or proxy) and uses 2 different locations..
