Would anyone like to see a fourth class? I really would like to sea type of merge class like a Cyber assassin or something. Possible SKill
|Field medic| |Cheap shot| |Acidic Slash|

|Cybernetic Shield| |Telekinetic Bolt| |Power divert|

|Focus shot| |Focus| |Shocking strike|

|Shadow| |Force Blast| |Shuriken|

These are jsut examples but I think I followed all the guidelines for a class. for instance it has a heal skill it has a defence weakener it has a booster it has a skill like Bunker or Plasma bolt it has an ultimate skill along with a multi and a stun skill. yes i forgot some grammar in there just to lazy to fix it and i couldnt tell you what the stats would be on it cause thats up to the devs. ALSO this is for constructive critiscism ONLY. Discuss

Oh and i dont think this will work because it reminds me of Bounty Hunter too much. The only class that would fit that i can think of a Archer of some sort.

Well the reason it reminds you of bounty so much is it was kinda a mix of bounty and Tm and Merc does to have one just in a more subtle and deadly way its called bunker buster

If they did add another class, it would be likely a chunk of three variants of Mage/Merc/BH.

Each Class has their own stat from tech/dex/strength

It would make the game more interesting, but also more balance confusion.

If they were to put a new class, they would have to delay multiple updates for the creation of it. The recently given skills took alot of time to make, so imagine waiting for a entire array of skills. The only stat that cannot be lowered is support, all 3 classes depend on support, so if you can lower support, you can control the entire battle.

You do not give us new battle mod, promise a year ago, fine give us 1 or more new class.

Yeah, I would love to face a new class on Epic Duel.

Perhaps Agility should be taken out, and added as a skill on the new class?
Or maybe even focus ---> USES - adding the original boosts on attack and defence (defence/resistance) that were taken out before. This skill would be very useful in battles.

Well reading all of the responses and aslot of people seem to think its a bad idea and would take up all their time. But i didnt specify what the skills do which i meant to do but it was like 2 in the morning either way the skill set would be exactly the same the only thing that it would require in terms of coding is a base stat line. in terms of other things it would require some new art work and that may take slightly longer but still its not really going to take that much time because they already have the three classes to work off of

In my personal option, not on the reflection of the rest of AE or ED teams, BUUUUTTTT... when ever I see an MMO release a new class its usually seen as a last ditch effort to keep the game interesting and active. This act usually brings in older players to play the new class. ( I've been one of those players before ) However the downfall effect of a new class is usually short lived and the interest in it dies quickly. Oddly enough new classes get introduced late spring/early summer after a MMO has about 5 - 10 years under its belt. They chose that time of year because thats the summer holiday for most students with the most free time. Also creating a new class is very taxing on developers and a lot of planning and dedication goes on behind the scenes. Like taking care a new puppy sort of... Everyone is like yay new puppy! but after awhile... keeping care of the puppy becomes a chore. While yes you may love the puppy still all the same, you still have to clean up after its mess.

we had a lot of decent ideas to keep the game intersesting on the EDF, but what was supposed to stay archived is still not here yet...
when is it comming back anyway?

IF they decide to implement new classes, I believe in the past NW and Titan talked about having "specialist" classes for the three existing classes, once they reached a certain level, but it never got past the brainstorming stage. @Charfade, I don't think that an idea like this would necessarily be a last-ditch effort to save the game, but could become a natural evolution of gameplay.

@Basic and everyone else, I wasn't responding to any reference to ED. Just responding in my personal option of what I've seen other MMO's live though in terms of the effects a new class has on the overall premise of general game design. In no way am I commenting on the current level of interest and activity of ED.

ah, but you see Charfade, people ARE losing interest in ED, which is sad, for it is such a great game, and even though the next thing isn't the only reason, it is an important one: ever since AE 'took over' ED, there has been a flow of negativity, work pressure and good and bad updates.

now, the good updates are great, but the bad upgrades take the upper hand, not because they are many (they are several though) but because they stick, good updates are forgotten faster then bad updates, you know.
Maybe it is a good idea to make a 'what do you want to see next' poll? just an idea

anyway, keep up the amazing work,
