First off, there is a lot of room for the faction system to improve, however sometimes the reward is the knowledge that your team pulled together to achieve something.
I've never been one to care about WD, 1v1, 2v2 Medals, It's nice when we get them, but they aren't my factions main purpose. My faction is about having fun, with a group of players that you enjoy playing the game with, and we do have a lot of fun most of the time. We hang out, share builds, chat daily for hours, and go for the occasional medal.
The perfect example I can present is when we broke the record (DSX has since broken it again), we managed to get 8601 wins, and we did it because we wanted to, not because it gave a reward. The satisfaction of achieving something that nobody else had done, was reward enough, and we had a ton of fun that day.
My faction is my ED Family, and we play for fun, not for prizes, and I will never ask for, or expect anything more than that.
Yes the faction system can improve, but if your in a faction for rewards, then your in it for the wrong reasons. Factions are about Friendships, Loyalty, and Having Fun; not about Winning, Medals, and Prizes.
