I find the Gamma Robot to be able to attack too often, you already have the option of 2 strong attack, it would help balance if the robot attack could be used only 1 per combat, or at the very least have a very long cool down, that effect both side when one is used.

@RKC: Actually, you got low dex though. I saw your build with the same amount of str damage and support damage but low defenses for a hunter will not suffice.

It's not just @RKC . I find that thing really annoying too . I think it's about time to limit the use of bots to ONCE per match . That means ONE energy or ONE physical attack per match . Respectively , ONE special ability or ONE attack for the Assault bot . It's abnormal to have crazy resistance and defense yet deal 50 damage or so . Combined with Bloodlust, your opponent goes Bye-bye :)

one use is definitely the best idea ive seen for the bot. i use it alot cause you HAVE to against other gamma bot players
and i hate it...you have a cool looking weapons, a sweet build and yet your dumb looking bot is doing most of the work



EDIT: Assault bot looks cool btw, just hate gamma bot :P

That's what hunters do as well. Each Gamma robot attack has 3 cooldown once used so it means they need to do 3 more attacks/defenseive moves to reuse that bot attack again and combine that with heal, gun, zooka or the other gamma bot attack especially their precious bloodlust skill, they can simply redo the same move over and over and over again at the same time regenerating 4-8 hp as always.

Robots don't need anymore nerf. After taking focus damage from x7 to x6 was good enough.

If you want protection, use Blood Shield, Technican, Malfuction, Defense Matrix, Relfex Boost, or Energy Sheild....problem solved.

@larcell: Well its the Gamma bot people hate about than assault bot. Besides, assault bot is mainly used to debuff for mercs when they're too lazy to switch hybrid and don't forget it has 2 attacks which is physical and energy. If you shielded yourself with technician, your opponent is more likely to use the physical attack of the Gamma Bot.

So because people in game don't want to use their dex or res shields to guard themselves against the bots they need to be nerfed? I play my bot knowing I have a hole in my defenses when I use it. The assault bot reduces any smoke, intimidate or malfunction EoT on you first of all. A skill the gamma bot doesn't have. Yes I have more than 1 skill point in both my defense matrix and technician but if I get hit by a merc's intimidate, I've got no defense against it. With a smoke or malf, I've got my shields but half the players I run into who use those still have such a high amount of skill points put in the skills that my shields don't even come close to matching the debuff abilities of the assault bot. Yes gamma gives me one phys and one energy attack, that's why I use it. To supplement my build with more phys attacks. But all of those attacks are BLOCKABLE. Bots ain't surefire and with varying dex builds and shadow arts and just RNG luck, I get blocked so much with my bot that I'm taking a chance of losing the battle everytime I use my gamma bot.

I used to hate 5 focus gamma bot people, but once I bought the gamma bot and used it myself I realised how bad it really is(if your merc, you get blocked a lot and also high str+smoke bhs and high support+malf mages kick your butt...).

Using two blockable attacks isn't for the faint of heart. Bot attacks are blocked just as often as cheap shot, bludgeon, berzerker and every strike attack you launch. If it hits then you take damage but if it blocks you have the advantage. With the risk comes the reward, that is the way of every build. No build can stream powerful unblockable attacks. Complaining that a Bot did you in and you want it nerfed only highlights a flaw in your build that needs repair not a flaw in the Bots.

wow 1st ppl cryed about the the 1st bot which l was 1 of them when l was a non varium but l found away around it. now ppl are crying about the 2nd bot. plz just use the skill tree right and you can stop or lessen the damg of the bots. the bots have not made the game unfair just added to the game so ppl have to be prepared for them that is all.

just make a build to to handle the bots it is not that hard

I do not support idea robots do get blocks and they have 3 turn cool period. I think there lazer head should be unblockable. I am getting sick tired of see block on bountys.

Well, what the community need to take into account of the Gamma bot's attacks is the fact it cost loads of varium and is a true Gamma Promo item. Not only that but what powers the robot is mainly focus. The max base damage is 30+ and weapons would eventually become 33+ for primary. Let me also tell you that the Gamma bot has also been nerfed by 5+ damage when focus was removed from all attacks.

Bots are indeed broken to the max. Just take a look at them, they constantly add pressure to the opposing character. Using a shield doesn't even matter anymore because a wise player would have half physical and half energy weapons. I think that the Gamma bot needs to be nerfed and don't forget the chances of blocks happening have been lowered.

@2nd post: You know, a critical hit is supposed to ignore 75% of your defense. Even if you have 34-41 resistance, a critical hit would treat that as 9-10 resistance. It'd also add more damage as well, and with rage on top of that, that's 120% of your defenses ignored.

I don't see anything unbalanced about robots.

In fact, I have one myself, +5 focus, and it does as low as 10 damage against a tank build.

It's also blocked very frequently, and that is annoying. Sometimes I think my bot is less accurate than my strike.

If anything, make them unblockable and give them less base damage. I can't see how a robot can't punch through your weapon or melt it down with a laser in the case of Gamma Bot.

Sounds good to me.


When they release the next bot, I'd say there's a 100% someone's going to complain without putting forth the effort to edit and strengthen their build.

At first I was whinning about robots don't get cool offs. Then when I was using gamma bot I realise they have 3 cool off period it. But they are hard if you go last. but once you find the player weakness it's easy to beat them.

To balance the robot, it's very simple. (Or not really)

-Raise the power the robot receives from focus to +10 each point of focus.
-Remove the power enhancement from technology. (Meaning Technology no longer makes it more powerful)

So far, if a player had 5 focus. It's max damage would be 50 (60 if crit) HOWEVER, there is defense we must calculate in.

So if a player had 30 Defense vs. 50 Robot damage, that would = 20 damage. That's a bit low, so what we'll do now is add in a 30% defense ignorance.

Now, 30 Defense x 0.3 = 9 ||| 30 - 9 = 21 ||| 50 - 21 = 39 (49 if crit)

If that seems too much, (which IMO it does) we can reduce it to 25%.

Now, 30 Defense x 0.25 = 7.5 ||| 30 - 7.5 = 22.5 ||| 50 - 22.5 = 37.5 (47.5 if crit)

Still seems a bit much... we'll do 20%:

Now, 30 Defense x .2 = 6 ||| 30 - 6 = 24 ||| 50 - 24 = 36 (46 if crit)

20% would be the most reasonable. Because many players have less defense than 30, it would erase the Robot from increasing power, and still make it usable.

It's all a plot from the devs to make us buy the gamma bot 10K packages.
Think about it
1. It's the only "weapon" aside from assault bot, that has focus damage still on it.
2. It's much more powerful than any other weapon with BOTH phy and eng atks (Aside from energy bunnyzooka sup build for TM's)
3. Mercs can abuse it with tech builds, tech builds=high defenses=harder to kill=OP.

The thing we need to take out is to nerf technology spammers onto the gamma bot.
It's too oped. Bottom line.
