veneeria -> Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 5:59:57)

I was thinking in a reasonable reason for Ed Staff to lower credits price even further. [>:]
Adding a fail rate to enchantments of 100% -> 60% depending how higher it is.

This rate should not be implanted to varium payers and perhaps there should be kept the old credits amount for enchantments with no fail rate.

Long story short, in function of the number of slots which is pretended to buy, the player can fail or not:

slot 1 - 100%
slot 2 - 95%
slot 3 - 80%
(etc..)

But before i suggested it, i though on sharing the idea and wait for the reply on this.
This is my idea that could boost non-varium and at the same time keep varium worth buying.

LambO -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 6:28:46)

I would suggest no. Not because I'm a varium player, I've not even really enhanced any of my items with Varium.

Just because I enhanced my weapons with Credits which cost me over 800k to do so. They then nerfed the prices without giving the people who payed the full price a refund, I was upset but I could live with it. Them to nerf the prices again would make the people who payed the full price at the start angry & people who paying with varium angry because they could of just payed with credits.

You can't just expect everything hand fed to people, you gotta work hard to be hard.

RKC -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 6:46:16)

ED sucks at refunding things.

ED owes me varium and credits because they actually released things without preparing properly.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 6:51:39)

@veneeria

No. Perhaps you might lose part of the credits when you fail, but not all. No matter how much ED pushes down the prices, it is still bound to be quite high.

TankMage -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 7:53:47)

@RKC , ED owes you nothing if you've gotten the varium you payed for.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 8:40:39)

I agree. I think it should be all credit enhance prices cost 50% less. I mean we Non-Variums cant survive the Stat Reduction and the removal of Focus we dont have enough stats to get around the Stat reduction and we cant do a balanced build without a robot. So its unfair it looks like the devs are trying to kill off all the Non-variums and make everyone buy varium. [>:]

veneeria -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 18:36:40)

@Silver Sky Magician: Well.. that is what makes it balanced. [>:] But then again, if you read it right, i did also suggest that the OLD ENCHANTMENT CREDIT OPTION WHICH NEVER FAILS, should be kept.. for those who fear to lose their money for nothing. Plus,(as an example) i rather fail doing an enchantment at low cost than having a fully enchanted weapon(that the enchantments were a pain to buy) in which ALSO is bound to be outdated and sold the next day.

@LambO That is a risk you took, in which i don't blame you, but just don't make others at least suffer the same thing. That price was really unreal.. An game is supposed to be fun.. And not some kind of part-time job... But still yeah.. kinda understand...Would it make you feel better if the last enchantment was 30% to not fail ?

@RKC They might have done a mistake, but you blindly made also mistake about not thinking twice. So, it is your fault too.

Guys, i really appreciate that you guys replied, but perhaps try to talk more about the idea and what good it can bring. Ok? thanks. [&:]

This funny here varium players act like know how non varium feel.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 20:39:43)

i support it becuase a F2P spends afew days getting up the credits to buy a new wep/armor then they are knoced back down to 0 credits(more or less) then they have to spend about a week to farm the the credits to full upgrade two weapons so the decreasing price depending on the number of slots would be helpful

PD -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 20:58:17)

Every Time Stat Inflation is mentioned, +1 PD Appears :3

Anyways, This isn't a permanent solution - As time goes on, this will backfire as more and more stats are made, and as more weapons with more stats are made. Sorry.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/5/2011 21:03:23)

@PD what is we have a bottom out rate that once it gets to like 60% the rate stops dropping thats 8 slots and i have a feeling it will be awhile before us F2P's get gear with 8 slots

Banir -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/6/2011 4:13:16)

^We already do. Graphite Gun has 8. Not that anyone would ever be able to afford it...

King FrostLich -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/6/2011 4:28:43)

Damage for Graphite Gun is very small as well nowadays since other bazookas are +37 and +38. Needs to somehow either get buffed or get a new one.

veneeria -> RE: Idea that might give non-varium help against stat inflaction (5/6/2011 5:25:19)

Far has i am concerned @pd, there hasn't been anything in which was a "permanent solution".[&:] Until now, i haven't got a reason for why this shouldn't be in.
Plus it is just an new add .. not a modification.

And well, like said before.. non-varium have a huge hard time getting wins, thus making it harder to level up or getting the credits in which they depend off.
