str merc aren't OP
first of all, we cant reduce ur def/res like str BH can.
with a str BH ur reducing 6-12 defense points. and most str bh use 20-24 or 22-26 str lvl.
meaning when they smoke, they do an extra 6-12 damage
example
if str merc does (cant use smoke screen which also lowers block rate) 38 damage on a 20-24 defense. with 26-32 str lvl
and str bh does 30 damage on a 20-24 defense with lvl 20-24 str when the BH smokes, he's gonna do 6-12 more damage because of the def debuff, and also reduce its block rate so they will most likely not be blocked. that 30 damage turns into 40 damage.
62 dex is 20-24 def -32 (32 is the usualy smoke screen ammount at lvl 7) thats 30 brings it defense down to 10-12
now the str Bh has bloodlust, shadow arts, and massacre that does almost twice the amount of damage a normal strike would do at lvl 1.
therefor str BH is more OPed than str merc.
not to mention most str mercs are hardly 80% (i know some manage to get 90% but those surely npc alot, have bunnyzooka (yes bunnyzookas because of no reqs) use skullfire for more stats, frost breaker (i find frostbreaker better because i can use slightly more hp and energy than cyber shillelagh) and founder armor) = huge ammounts of strength with decent hp 109-125,, decent dex, and good str.
so in reality str merc aren't that OPed.
