Silent Scream -> Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/6/2011 16:26:11)

So ive played this game for a very long time and when class change first came out i changed from Mage to Merc for about 10 seconds just for the achievment and then changed back because i aboslutely loved mage at the time.. i was pretty much the only caster mage left in existence

But with all this new support, focus and strength builds caster mage started not to work at all against nearly everyone.. so my long time ED friend gave me a support build for my mage a little while ago, which works great..

But right now im starting to get kind of bored sadly and the game is losing its fun in many ways.. So i have chosen to change to Merc (Which i have done) and bring some fun and "New-ness" back into the game for me (Wow i just said New-ness)

Right now its feeling so odd to me tho.. im still doing fights and im doing pretty well but when it comes to the skills and fighting im still thinking like a mage "Malf this" "Malf that" "Put Defense Matrix on" etc

Im really trying to get used to Merc because it really is an awesome class, im loving how much defense and resist you can get out of it.. especially with Max hybrid (Which i have)

Its just so diffrent from mage.. but im going to try and stick with it =)

I know i said i would never be anything but a Mage.. but times change and sadly times have changed

Did anyone else find it very weird when changing classes? or very difficult to get used to the new one?

Maybe its just me.. Perhaps being the same class for 2 years can have that effect on you

I haven't gone trough the transition yet Mage since the beginning

Im playing all three classes and have TM and BH at level 33. Those two classes
are very similar like Yin and Yang. Bounty rocks on STR and TM on support.
Merc is very different tho and heavily dependant on energy for skills to get some
descent dmg output. I often need a few fights to get familiar to another class again.

RKC -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 0:28:32)

I never really got the idea of class change, never in AE game did I change class.

For me BH still rocks even if my build is old and outdated.[:D]

Next time try learning about the class before you change[8D] Such as builds and stuff techniques and be sure about the change

I was a Mercenary for a while and I have switched to Merc quite a few times, but no matter what I always end up back at Bounty Hunter.

I don't think im gonna change class even if I get varium someday, so no prob for me :P

ND Mallet -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 10:50:15)

I started out merc and then tried mage shortly after class release. I changed back quickly since heal looping bored me and I didn't want to waste several thousand credits finding a non heal loop mage build. I changed to a support bounty, then merc, str bounty, then Overload mage, back to merc and finally back to Overload mage again. Casting is still alive and well, you just can't afford to hold yourself back with a bunch of casting skills. Spells are good since they're a slightly weaker gun/aux but are undeflectable.

Rabies -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 11:44:16)

I know it was pretty strange when I first went BH, and Merc, but it only takes a week or two to get use to it. [:)]

It's just you.

Deimos... -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 14:22:56)

Yes, your right. When I class change, I think about it for a long time and stay that way for a long time. At first, you lose ALOT, but then you get used to it, and you own. Currently, I'm thinking about changing to Bounty Hunter... o_o

xxmirxx -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 14:40:06)

I have switch class 3 times I was merc then BH and then mage.

Epic Pwnser -> RE: Class Changing And Getting Used To It (Strange) (5/7/2011 14:49:59)

I first started out as a merc with max support, then +4 focus.
Just days after class change came out, I thought about changing classes, and I made my choice.
Tech Mage.
Ever since that, I've been a tech mage and I'm going to stick to it, because it's the most versatile, adaptative, and funnest class out there with a range of skills.

When I first changed, it was a very different world, with no hybrid armor, but with this new energy regain power.
HEAL LOOP FTW!
Then FOCUS FTW!
And now... SS FTW!
