quoting

I tried quoting and was told to use the quote button and I tried that but whenever I use the quote button I just get quote marks! how can I quote? Thank you!

The quote button refers to the one on the posting toolbar. It's right above the "Font Size" dropdown menu.

No that's not the quote button. When you post you have (right above the place where you write) several buttons one of them is called "quote" and that's the button you have to press to get the code correctly like Scherzo pointed out [:)]

Picture: Clicky. The quote button is outlined in red. Just click that button and you'll get quote tags. If you want to quote a block of text in your post, highlight it before clicking the button.
