Quick note: I don’t want this placed in the “Suggestions” portion of the forums, because barely anyone reads that place, and barely any admins look over it. I would like all comments to be constructive. Here we go…. Upgrade Complete! -------- by ChronosXVII (IGN) Everyone here knows that varium is undisputibly one of the most “op’d” items in the game. Essentially, most users here know it as a “pay to win” system, where the non variums are constantly abused over and over again. And essentially, it all starts with enhancements. Enhancments have made games living hell for most players here, if not more. Frankly, I am a varium user myself, and have seen the ability to be super op’d. For example, the latest auxilliary they released, the Eggzooka? That’s really OP. That’s 18 extra stats right there. Compare that to the seasonal specials, which (without enhancements) give you +11 stat points (Carrierzooka and Graphite Gun). Vendzooka comes close, but that’s a different matter. If enhanced, the Eggzooka will receive +26 stats. If enhanced, the seasonal non-varium Aux (above) will receive +17 stats. 9 stat point difference huh….. The same goes with many, many, many other weapons. I mean, Mercenaries have their ultimate weapon, Mjlonr, which gives about +25 stats without enhancements and +31 stats with enhancements. Techies have Caden’s Wrath, which gives them apprx. +24 stats ( I don’t know what the total is with enhancements). Bounty hunters, good luck getting your “favored” weapon (although they do have Acolyte Blades, but that’s only what, 17 points?). So here’s my greatest and epic plan of all time. I even thought this up during school because I obviously do not have any life of some sort thinking of these things when I should be focusing on college (again, going back to the topic.) THE EPIC DUEL WEAPON UPGRADE SYSTEM OF AWESOMENESS. Let me essentially start by saying this. The world’s ugliest weapon is the Basic Club. Lol, I don’t want to offend any club..huggers out there (?). But it really is what it says, basic. Here’s how the system works. Everytime someone is killed by the weapon that needs to be upgraded, you will receive +1 kill in that weapon. To fully upgrade that weapon, you need to get Your LVL (when first using the weapon) * 10 = number of kills with weapon to get it “enhanced”/upgraded. Okay, here’s an example. Barker Bob is lvl 1 when he recieves the basic club. He starts out as mercenary (derrrrp). Basically, he needs 10 wins with the club to “upgrade” it. If he levels up to level 2, doesn’t matter, he still needs those 10 wins. Upgrading the weapon is entirely different. This is to counter enhancements. Note, this is not an “enhancement”, it’s more of a permanent mod to the weapon. Basically, once your weapon is upgraded (max 3 levels, so Basic Club II, Basic Club III, Basic Club IV), you get to choose the following stats to add one point in (every time you upgrade). Damage Strength Dexterity Tech Support. Example: Barker Bob is level 3 when he gets 10 kills. The basic club is now ready for upgrading. Stats (before upgrade): Basic Club Damage + 15 Strenght + 4 Dexterity +0 Tech +0 Support +0 If Bob wants to increase damage, he just clicks on damage so… Stats (after upgrade): Basic Club II Damage + 16 Strenght + 4 Dexterity +0 Tech +0 Support +0 And hypothetically, people won’t be allowed to “retrain” these stats. If they do, they have to redo their quota of battles, and at their current level. Also, the Basic Club, everytime it “ranks up”, should get a nice graphic improvement. Maybe a color custom basic club at IV. And this can apply to armors, auxiliaries, guns, etc. It’s a big and huge suggestion, and I doubt it’ll be passed, but if your reading this Nightwraith, Titan, Charfade, Cinderella, all those other mods ( oh yeah, Wiseman), please at least take into consideration this “upgrade”. It will potentially give nonvarium players who are fed up with abuse at least something to work for. Tell me what you guys think.
