Wow so much nostaliga. Great to have such a talented artist back. Your work on the minotaurs for the new AQ release was phenomenal too.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (5/26/2015 13:11:09)

Thanks so much DS! I had a lot of fun working on those minotaurs and it's nice to see a positive reaction from my fellow players.

Hey Rev! I'm not sure if you remember me, but i was active waaay back in around 2006. I was browsing the forums and I happened to stumble upon a very familiar name. It's amazing to see that you are still active on the forums, and regularly updating your thread!

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (8/19/2015 14:06:47)

MOOZAK! I remember you mate. Man has it been that long? The days just tumble away. Great to hear from you and stop by more often!

A long over due update:

One more bit of the 9 piece compilation. Guess what part this is.

moozak -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (8/23/2015 7:08:45)

I'm happy to hear that you still remember me :) It really feels like it was a past lifetime, but I owe a lot of my artistic growth to this place, so it really makes me glad to see familiar faces around!

In relation to your latest piece, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by part...but judging from the name, is that inspired by a colon? haha. It looks good regardless :P Loving the linework

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (10/1/2015 14:42:45)

Has it really been over a month since I last posted?! Man I'm a slacker. I totally agree with you Moozak and you got it spot on. That last piece is the evacuation tube.

This update SHOULD be the final piece if I've counted correctly and then I will (eventually) post a snap of all nine parts compiled into a glorious unified whole.

lordkaho -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (10/28/2015 1:17:07)

Hey, it's been a while since I visited. :D

Your artwork never ceases to amaze, Wyrm. A lot of it certainly reminds me of Hellboy, being a mix of Lovecraftian and 90's "Dark Age of Comic" styles.

Jecht Dracopyre -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (11/7/2015 15:55:47)

omg, please get toff teh forumz plz your more ancient than I am, we get it...your awesome lol

But seriously, man it is always a pleasure to see your work, work that pushes your mind far beyond the extents of your imagination to...the Outer Limits...please stand by rofl your attention to detail while remaining so conceptual and free is incredible. Continue to give us all something to strive for and update more often if possible. :D

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (6/20/2018 0:03:58)

The forums are awfully quiet here lately. The silence summoned me back from the darkness.

It's only appropriate to start off my new images with the finalized 9 piece work:

Smalls -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (6/22/2018 14:35:25)

Aaah wyrm these are awesome as always, I adore all of the details you put into the black and white piece and the sketchy, natural quality of the mother piece is really lovely

Arthur -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (6/22/2018 16:28:49)

Wow Wyrm, the level of detail in your work is astonishing!

I love it!

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (6/30/2018 15:16:02)

@Smalls Thank you as always. I really do appreciate the comments my friend. I was just mucking about in PS and playing with some brushes but I like her enough to post it.

@Arthur Thank you very much. I love little tiny lines lol.

How about a cowboy today? This is a little older but I don't think I've posted it here before:

Jecht Dracopyre -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (7/2/2018 10:30:58)

wow the 9 piece finished work is incredible your attention to detail is insane the amount of work you place into folds...and your sense of shape language great work as always need to see more.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (7/6/2018 15:18:55)

Hey thanks Jecht! I really enjoyed making that and it was an interesting experiment. Some of the first pieces suffered because I attempted to limit myself to a single tool/pen but then I changed my mind part way in and was able to to achieve greater detail and finer lines, which really resonates more with me. I'm a sucker for tiny lines and details most viewers won't even notice...but they make me happy haha.

I don't think I've posted this here before so here's the Orthereum:

Solar Boy -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (9/30/2018 12:27:19)

Agh! How have I not commented in so long?! D: I've seen most of your stuff as you've posted here and I've even peeped at your DA on occasion. It's hard to pull out of lurk-mode sometimes, ya know?

The assembled 9-piece-piece is beyond cool. Bizarre anatomy! Gasmasks! Tubes on pipes on hoses! Brains and/or fetuses in jars! Skulls for days! Metallic gubbins! Eldritch abominations! SPIRALS! It touches on so much imagery and so many themes from so much of your work. Lovely stuff.

Cowboy's sweet. I like how beefy his guns are against his spindly frame. :D

Orthereum's very cool. Lot going on here! I like all the different elements; her face, the wing, the architecture, the cloth details, the border. It still manages to feel cohesive though. Cool composition!

Art On! >:D
