BlueKatz -> Losing should not get exp (5/26/2011 23:08:52)

I notice some "noob" can't even have good build or gears just because their level are too high and they lose too much. I think losing should not give exp at all, look at some very poor noob, I'm quite surprise how still they try to play
Plus new stat train system like many player mentioned

I think ED has not been so nice to new players and noob :/

beastmo -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/26/2011 23:17:15)

More Like the noobs need a Tutorial when they start to play

king julian -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/26/2011 23:28:17)

its compensation cause if u lose a lot u will be low level for ever!!!!!!

voidance -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/26/2011 23:31:49)

Dumbest idea ive ever heard. If they didnt give the failed players xp I would have ppl to own for fast wins.

DillBagel -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 2:05:17)

Wow, terrible punishment to the low levels.

The only noob I see is you.

Regardless of whether they suck or not at this game, it is either their own fault for not understanding the game properly, or the lack of player to player communication that used to occur when helpful players like TestBuild were around.

This suggestion is utterly ridiculous. First off, you can't fix stupid, and a no exp reward for losing is making "stupid" worse.

Finally, calling players "noobs" only makes you the true noob. Just because a player isn't very talented in build making does not make them stupid.

edwardvulture -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 2:46:16)

^This would make sense ONLY if the credit for losing doubled and win records got removed.

Tiago X -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 3:08:31)

No, it should stay the same, because you learn more with a loss than you do with a win.

Ashari -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 3:16:33)

Soliqe, the name calling isn't needed.

I agree with Dillbagel here. Being completely unforgiving isn't going to help new players learn the ropes or help struggling players. It would only drive new players away and frustrate existing players who are just trying to level up. Players already face plenty of challenge in the last stretch of leveling when they most face level 33s -- making that worse wouldn't solve anything.

Taking away loss experience isn't being nice to new players either. You can't expect a new player to know everything when they are tossed into the game and essentially told to figure it out themselves. What I think is needed is a proper introduction and tutorial to the combat system. The introduction fight should be brought back with some changes of course. That first fight should be made into a tutorial fight -- removing the battle timer and having pop-ups explaining health, energy, skills and so forth as the player is going through their first battle. At the very least, the basics should be explained.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 7:54:16)

for some its second nature to create good builds but alot of players are new to this type of game and think that
they need every skill. also they wanna enjoy the game, not spend hours on the forum studying builds and learning

i can see the logic in giving the loser credits but not experience, as they are likely to earn MORE credits levelling
that can go on the higher level gear, combined with encumberance this could be very profitable.........BUT

it will have a largely negative effect on people levelling. every loss would feel like a waste of time for players.

Sky Drifter -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 8:31:50)

Dumb idea, no point at all, It's participation XP.

edwardvulture -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 13:19:03)

@Ashari. No they will still see a lose but it won't be permanent so players feel good.

Cookielord12 -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 13:27:27)

dumb idea. all thsoe non vars who are being slaughtered will never level up

wario the great -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 14:28:16)

if u want them to get better then they need the exp dumb idea

and the more losses they get the more they will start to understand this game

put urself in their shoes if u were a low lvl and got beat all the time wouldnt u be furious that u dont get exp to lvl up

frosty123 -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 15:42:31)

Well i do not support. or sort of. As someone said you learn more form a loss than a win, if t hey didnt win they dont get exp and that would encourgade then to battle more but it would be a lose situation because you didnt learn from the mistake you made last time so that idea would only make records go worse. So i say they get exp. Why? because it is awfully boring owning lower lvs. Thus the thing would make them stronger and as well after they lose they should receive a tip on to battling better. Or if the mashin know their mistake they could tell them for instance:

ya i cn multi or strike. He has one health. The idiot decideds to strike and he blocks and idiot loses. The tip would be or mistake would be: as in certain kill (1-3 health) always use a unblockable such as a gun or bazooka or skill form far range. The mistake would be not using multi when you should have. See what i mean?

jegaggin -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 17:39:45)

what would happen to level 1s who face level 5s? no exp bonus -.-

edwardvulture -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 21:57:24)

No but a lot of nonvariums complain about not having enough credits to buy the gear they want. And also if the record was erase losing would be fine for them.

frosty123 -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 23:20:47)

^ i think the higher the lv exp the more exp you get because a lv ! would stand no chance agist a lv 5 with for overload.
^

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/27/2011 23:40:13)

Are you trying to drive away more players? Becuase this idea is just plain stupid and it appears as selfish aswell.

MrBones -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 7:59:17)

I agree with Beastmo, new players need some kind of tutorial.

PenyihiR -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 8:53:00)

Hell ya..,,
I see After U all view this post..,
Most of u is flaming him (Blue Katz)
I think this one should be locked or removed -_-"..
(NO MORE FLAMING)

5rr5 -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 8:57:16)

If they don't get xp then do u know that it would take forever to lvl up.

edwardvulture -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 17:10:53)

Maybe they don't want to level up seeing so by only losing. Maybe they want to have full hear so they can actually stand a chance later instead of being beaten to the ground until they hit level cap.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 17:15:10)

@above
then they will be beaten to the ground even more and not even be a lv cap, if ur a nv lv 28 u WILL NEVER HIT 33, u will just press 1v1, lose, no exp, 1v1 lose, no exp, 1v1 lose, no exp, rage quit
the max lv will die out since lv 33s quitting and ppl not lving up to take their place, then with less high lvs lower lvs wont get wep and build help, they will get frustrated and leave now ED has no players... see wut CLD happen (it might actually be possible 0.o)

Donny The Ultimate -> RE: Losing should not get exp (5/28/2011 19:26:28)

This is a bad idea in my opinion it would take much longer to level and it would take months-years for a beginner to level up to the level cap
