megakyle777 -> (HS) Deal with The Dealer (5/29/2011 6:08:09)

Albert Smith was angry. He had been having a really tough day. First of all he had been robbed by some bank robber of all his valuables. Then when the heroes went after the robber they would not give him his money back because they thought it was part of the stolen loot. After all this he went home to relax and watch some TV, only for a hero and villain to come crashing through his house! His own house! He had to live with a cousin while it was being redecorated. Naturaly, this made him really angry. If only there was something he could do...

A stand appeared next to him. Behind the stand was a man in a suit. But for some odd reason, he was wearing a mask.

"Hello stranger. I see that you seethe with fury. Prehaps I can aid you?"

Albert was scared. "Who are you and what are you doing here?

The masked man replied: "My name is unimportant. However, I understand you may need something to refer to me as. You may call me The Dealer. As for what I am doing here, I show up wherever I can make a sale of my merchandise."

Albert asked: "I think I've heard of you. You are that guy who keeps supplying the villains with the stuff they need right?"

The Dealer said: "That is one of my traits, yes."

"So why approch me? I am no villain or hero. I don't even have powers!"

"I just wondered if you might be interested in one of my goods. You know, to defend yourself agaisnt a villain attack."

"How do I know that you will not turn me into a mindless minion of yours with them?"

"I give you my word as a buisnessman and a gentlemen. I shall not turn you into a mindless minion."

"Hrrrm...very well. Let me see your wares. No harm can come of that I suppose."

"Very well." the stand opened up and lots of weaponry filled it. there were all kinds of things! Guns, lasers, Swords, even a few things that Albert had never seen or heard of! But one thing drew his eye.

"How much for the club?"

"Oh that? A mere 20 Gold."

"That's not much at all. What's wrong with it?

"Nothing at all. It's a club. Made of wood. It costs about 15 to make and I want to sell it at a profit. The only thing it has going for it is it's better quality then a usual club."

"There is no evil curse on it?

"No."

"No evil spirit?"

"No."

"It's not powered by a forsaken soul or anything?"

"Let us save some time here. There is no curse, no spirit, no Forsaken soul, no demon, no age old abomination, and not a single shard of anything evil in this weapon. It is slighly harder hitting then a normal club. That's it."

"You swear?"

"I give you my word as a busisnessman and a gentlemen."

"...Very well. Here, take the 20 gold. Goodbye." He gave The Dealer the money, picked up the club and walked away. Well, that was not too bad, he thought to himself. He got a decent weapn to protect himself at half of the normal price, and that Dealer felow was alright by him for that. And he has something to show anyone who broke his house again...

Behind him, The Dealer started packing up. Behind his mask, he smiled and mentaly repeated the second part of his cathphrahe, the one he did NOT tell customers.

I give you my word as a businessman and a gentlemen, but keep in mind that words are tricky things...
