Reload speed?

I use the "Post since last seen" a lot, but I don't have much time as always. So sometime when I turn the Forum off, and come back and use Post since last seen, a lot of topics still marked as unread. So anyone know how long will it take to "save" the Post since last seen so I won't get the old list when reloggin? Also how long will it take for Forum to kick me out when I don't save cookie?
