Thought this would be a fun thread idea as i don't make many. Just curious as to how you players keep the fun in the game, be it battling without certain items for a challenge (i.e just a primary) or without an upgraded armour etc. Now i realise it may sound like more of a challenge than actual fun to some, but to me it's definitely fun! So what do you as a player do differently to keep the game fresh and alive?

I attempt to win stuff in arcade to add the extra thrill to 1v1 ,but usally end up getting robbed of my tockens...

I make my own builds but they're aren't as effective as when I was deemed a famous build maker in mid-beta. I'm simply can't fork out enough dough to keep up with the changes to stats and premium weapons being released monthly stronger than the one before.

@he who lurks dont foget that the choices in builds have been limtied to about 3 for mercs 2 for BH and 2 for mages , as anything that doesnt deal great damage is destroyed.... their goes the fun strategy builds.

I just like to fought many npcs as I can and saved my tokesn to get 5 star ranking as soon as possible xD.

sometimes randomly encountering other players and making jokes/puns when battling... though most of the times i spend in making new characters or just plain not playing at all.

well right now the only way to keep it "fresh" is pay 35 bucks every other week

I do all sorts of stuff to "keep it fresh", otherwise i get bored and go do something else. I have tried battling with just starter primary, but never won a game with that so i did all upgrades and everything with best equipment, but only starter primary. Every now and then i chat random stuff in two vs two and see what responses i get (usually i type out the lyrics to a song and see who knows it) I will change my name and looks (i always regret doing this because in the end i go back to my original name and i just ended up wasting varium) Race around delta v on my bikes Run around without any gear on and had just retrained so i look like a level 1 noob and then try talking to folks Try out bizarre builds such as really high technology tech mage at level 33 and then rely on plasma bolt to win. That's all that comes to mind, but i try to change stuff as much as possible in the game.

well i used to hang around oz world 7 but ever since fame came well lets just say i do not feel like hanging round oz world 7. well since fame came i had to change my break to a bike ride( that way no 1 can say F4F to me)usually take a 1h in game break and ride around delta V with my trusty old bike the phantom.vroom vroom

I've done as Fay has, It's fun to have the Occasional 'noob fight' (no armor starter wep) With a willing participant. Buzzing round the map for a quick hello to everyone you know online is nice and communal. Then I often waste 25 var on new colours and a new hair do :) Sometimes its funny to play npc's and type comments in return to there's.......Various other daft things i might do, depends on my mood :)

Hmm I'd say the best way to keep it alive would be to play it once a month to remind you how horrible it is. Do yourself a favor and play AQW.

I play ALL AE games, and to me my favorite is ED, for some reason you disagree. I like ED because it puts a challenge trying to get a item or fight a boss. Unlike other AE games you can get it witha snap! or just insanely hard to get. And to be honest I like ED mostly because of the way you play and how to play, you'll need strategy to beat your enemies! :D and thats what I do! x) build strategies to beat the crap outa your enemies! ( But never seem to post it O.o ) @cyberbakio ryugan Telling players to NOT play the games is against the rules! you should support them to play the game NOT the other way around! Its been posted. Im syaing to keep it fresh, when I get bored of game, I play another but I'm not saying, don't play epicduel, you misunderstood it xD.

I agree with taking a break from ED for a while does help me a lot. I get so used to it playing nearly everyday, then when i come back it feels like i haven't played it for months, even though i took about 3-4 days off.

I usually switch up my NPCs. Instead of my normal Valery, Shadow Guard, Admin 12; I'l do the Electrohazard, Biohazard, and Lawman. Lots of the time I will switch build and make a crazy fun to use one [;)] ~Zean

I use to just do insane 2vs2 matches in Doom with my friends.. but server lock kinda ruined that. Now I basically just battle, joke around, and try to keep the game fun. I also just randomly try to kill all the boss npcs with the same build.(Not easy... since I don't use focus builds)
