Soliqe -> Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 1:53:11)

So, aside from all of the whimpering, whining, complaining, and crud I dug through today, I can see this community hasn't changed one bit.

1. Still bickering about the same issues
2. Still drooling over the past
3. Blaming others and the developers(although it is partially their fault) for your own issues...

So, did I miss anything? Are you all really that senseless to understand? That all you are doing is repeating this 3 step cycle? The EpicDuel community is one of the most laziest communities I've ever dealt with, and I'm sorta glad I hardly take part in it anymore. I'm not flaming individuals, I'm not blaming one person. I'm blaming everyone.

If you want change, change it.
If you want answers, answer it yourself.
If you want to impact the community positively, impact it.

If you want to live in the past, by all means go ahead, it's not like you haven't been doing it already. :|
If you want to blame others, blame 'em, I'm sure that'll make everyone happy. :|
If you just want to wade out the worst, have fun, it won't get any better. :|

The game changes not by one person, but by many. Beta was only successful because the base community were united in growing the game and helping each other. Other than that, it's just a title. Beta means nothing, it's the players that made it. I have no comment on Gamma, you all can decide how wonderful/aweful it was in your own opinion.

To summarize my point,

Stop bickering and take action.

This game won't ever die, it simply won't, but the community will stay the same or get worse. It all depends on the human beings playing it. You as a community have the ability to change the game(if you make enough fuss in a mature manner.)

I hope this touched some player's hearts, but most likely, you'll agree with it, say, "I agree blah blah we *should* do something" but you'll say should for the next few days and forget about it. So, have fun ED Community, I'll be watching from a far distance.

Oh brother here we go again.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 2:08:32)

A common problem, Soliqe, is one shown through your very own words:

quote:

I'll be watching from a far distance.

quote:

If you want change, change it.
If you want answers, answer it yourself.
If you want to impact the community positively, impact it.

Do you see the irony?

endtime -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 2:17:36)

quote:

If you want change, change it.

How? Players do not have access to the game's code. The only one who can directl make change is Titan and the developers. Players can only suggest.

quote:

If you want answers, answer it yourself.

No offense, but this sounds really stupid. To answer a question yourself, you have to know the answer. If you already know the answer, then you wouldn't have asked it in the first place.

quote:

If you want to impact the community positively, impact it.

but
quote:

Stop bickering and take action.

Bickering, complaining, and suggesting is the only way for improvement and the only way to take "action" for players. Tell me how else players can make a difference.

This post seems to have some "patriotic" lines, but it makes absolutely no sense and is ambiguous and nonspecific.

xxmirxx -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 2:22:27)

endtime I am glad your on these forums you mention good points and finally someone actually knows what talk about as well few here.

Mohandas Gandhi -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 2:38:58)

The people must be heard. We complain because there are a lot of problems in this game.

Xendran -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 3:18:17)

Action is being taken.
Trust me.

@Endtime: Your first point is not true, however we do not need to get into that.
@Titan: Encrypt more. Seriously.
@Soliqe: If you're still online, i'd like to talk to you personally.

xxmirxx -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 3:25:27)

actually you do in my opinion
quote:

games could only be change by titan and developers. So I fail to see his point wrong.

Xendran -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 3:30:31)

xxmirxx, you basically just asked me how to access the game's code. If you go about doing that and releasing code, you're going to be facing a lawsuit from Artix Entertainment. This game is (meant to be) closed source.

I never said that please don't put words in my mouth.

thats what I said.

Xendran -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 3:41:26)

I said we do not need to get into discussion about the game's source code.
You said we do.
I'm not continuing this discussion, i understand exactly what's going on here.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 3:52:27)

@everyone above

Soliqe's main point is the need to improve the community. Bickering and complaining only degrades the community. There is a difference between constructive and destructive comments, after all. As for how players can improve the game features, debate and suggestion is indeed necessary, NOT bickering and complaining.

Nevertheless, the point in my earlier post still stands. And I mention this sentence because I'm kind of tired of being ignored.

Xendran -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:11:23)

Silver Sky Magician: If only you knew what i was working on. You think im a generic complainer? You have no idea.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:14:28)

@Xendran

I'm pretty sure that I have not accused you of being a generic complainer in any part of my post. No offence, but you have to improve your comprehension skills.

T.600 -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:16:06)

Please stop flaming everyone, if you have a problem with another person please discuss it elsewhere.

xxmirxx -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:20:36)

I do too I am not liking were going with this. I hate hacks so I didn't enjoy the way you put it.

Well thats very controvert because were two people come to disagreement were no end. You always see them as complainers. you well as savior and your way is right way.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:38:35)

@xxmirxx

The way I see it, the difference between debaters and complainers is whether the discussion is civil and whether there is mutual respect of opinion. And I assume that you meant that I think myself 'as a saviour'? If so, I feel nothing of the sort, nor have I given any indication in my posts to support such a point.

Xendran -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 4:44:40)

You addressed your post to everybody. Do not insult my intelligence based on your miscommunication. I'm finished with this conversation.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 5:32:23)

@Xendran

Precisely. As you have pointed out, it was a general comment. I see no reason why you should take personal offense. It was not meant to be a subtle attack, if that was what you were thinking.

LambO -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 6:32:42)

Yes you missed alot...
If you want change, change it.
Not even possible, if it was why would the Dev's be here.

If you want answers, answer it yourself.
Yeah kids, need help in school of whatever answer you're own questions. 2+2= 43! yeah should work cause I answered my own question. On a serious note if we need answers but we dont know the answer to the question how are we supose to do this? Let me know cause I would love to be a step ahead of the Dev's and stuff you know.

If you want to impact the community positively, impact it.
^ This question should be for the Dev's not us. Obviously.

"The game changes not by one person, but by many. Beta was only successful because the base community were united in growing the game and helping each other. Other than that, it's just a title. Beta means nothing, it's the players that made it. I have no comment on Gamma, you all can decide how wonderful/aweful it was in your own opinion. "

You're right, it changes by 4 people. Beta was successful cause the Dev's made anything right in Beta which made the community happy so I'm guessing that made the Dev's happy.
So nothing bad happened cause it was the Good old days.
Beta means something, Beta had always been the best part of ED why I think most of the Beta players choose to stick around hoping ED will get back on track to how ED was back in Beta. I'll do my decision now, Gamma sucks.

Now I want Delta to bring back the past to how Beta was. So I'm gonna live in the past till the future of ED gets better.

Synbad Syndicated -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 9:03:00)

solique has a point.
it's not hard at all to impact the game without being involved in any way possible, but it is hard for us or some of us to figure out how this could be done.
you don't need to know the codes or need access to them at all as long as you've been in the tech business and know a knowledgeable amount of math as well as the ability to do calculations by just using your head. then again it is very unlikely to meet some one with the brain and capability to do such things hanging around in a game meant for kids and/or something to pass the time.

bickering is also not needed, you can debate on the same issues just as long it does not become childish in any manner.

to any one reading this comment. ED has the lowest amount of coders compared to all other AE browser-based games, 1 if I'm right. so it's really hard for them to get things done in a timely fashion and do all the things we constantly spam them to do or fix.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 9:40:50)

Amazing how you all proved his point so magical without even trying

If you want change, change it.
You want something done step up get a discussion going going about it and suggest it to the Devs via the suggestion section or a PM to the Devs which i have done many times before and got answers.

If you want answers, answer it yourself.
Its a simple computer game guys If you want the answer the your question its more then likely you will find it on the Wiki or by looking around in-game/on the forums if that fails you can ask for help in the Q&A section but your being proactive about getting the answer yourself.

If you want to impact the community positively, impact it.
Join in the discussion with a positive attitude no flaming no calling others out just ignore the lesser part of the community(flamers, jerks, mindless childern who ride the bandwagon)

As for his being proactive then ill be watching from afar pretty much hes left ED and hes trying to leave a lasting impression by improving the community

Well both MQ and ED have only 1 main coder, ED is a staff of 2 full time and 1 part time (me) paid staff members. We are very much competing with the content of the other games with a much smaller staff.

and I just wanted to add... the Bickering and complaining members of ED are heard, though it takes more time for us to process this information because a lot of times there is a point to the Bickering and complaining it just takes more effort on our parts to decipher it. ( by taking out all the flaming and heated words ) And along that process sometimes we tend to miss interpret or vice versa. Its much easier when the conversations are constructive. Tossing up walls and playing the blame game and re hashing old news really dose nothing good for the community whole. We are all in this journey together.

Cinderella -> RE: Diz game haz problemz (6/24/2011 10:11:00)

I hope we can appreciate the irony of a thread complaining and asking people to stop flaming and try to improve the community is just a page full of fighting. For that reason, I'm locking this up.
