Feral Ninja -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 19:22:13)

I wouldn't mind an armor either, but it would make the gap between players who pay and players who don't even greater.

Imagine this: Would it be fair if players who've spent so much money to rule the entire game? The leaderboards would only be for people who pay an insane amount.

That's why I would prefer a more fun gameplay over total domination.

papasmurf44 -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 19:27:56)

feral i do like your ideas they have a good balance to them really but i still say instead of varium requirements we make it just a time thing for now before we mess with varium and other such " exclusive material" a first basic requirement like time that no one can control really be givin and with the responses made to that first basic "rewards claim" they can decided to support the pay to play accounts further or if a negative review is givin then the idea can be further put to rest without much arguement this gives the devs first off a way to gauge the effect on the game and second can give them a reason to reward the paying players without just saying they pay so here this way they can say that everyone is givin a fair chance at something and also i may be an older player but i am also retired and or very inactive this would basically in no way effect me except for filling my inventory causing me to buy var for item slots so please do not assume im asking for things for myself thank you. and this idea also effects broader ranges of people keeping the playing field more balanced because it is obvious that as per each new stage starts a new generation of player in the game and whom ever stays learns how to adapt

Fay Beeee -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 19:30:50)

Why not just try for something that does not affect the game at all?
No need to be greedy. Just a skin (or two) lol

MrBones -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 19:35:33)

Papasmurf:

What happens to all the players that made an account in beta for example and only play a couple fights each months and only bought 1 small varium package.
I see plenty of players with beta weapons or founder armor (or founder cheevo) that haven't reach the level cap yet. Should those casual gamers be rewarded on the sole basis that they created their acounts before a gamma player ?

Beside, can you imagine the assle trying to determine who deserve it and who doesn't ? Do you have an idea of how many accounts there is ??

This game is a buisness and money talks. Varium is the only way to make sure you are rewarding the right players.

Feral Ninja -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 19:39:23)

Time would also be a nice idea.

Only problem I see in there is if a player takes a long break (Such as a year or so), he/she would be entitled to equipment/other things whilst he/she didn't play for.

Also, achievements for long time players are already here, Beta, gamma,delta, etc.

BUT, if we take your suggestion to a new level, let's say an Activity Roster...

We have player A and we have player B.
They both started exactly a year ago (365 days.)

Let's also say there's an achievement for playing 300 days. (AKA, 300 logins all on seperate days)

Player A has logged in for 304 days, whilst not logging in for 61 days.
Player B has logged in for 265 days, whilst not logging in for a 100 days.

Who would get the achievement? That's right, Player A. :)

To be honest, I personally think a combination of time and support would be the best idea. How that would work out? Not A Clue. xD

papasmurf44 -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/11/2011 21:13:45)

mrbones yes those players should be rewarded too because to be honest we should figure if they dont play alot and get the gift and continue to not play alot then it didnt hurt anything out side of a few seconds for an engine to sort the accounts from time periods and if they do play more and get indeed hooked to the game because of the gifts then the community wins in that instance to im sure an engine could be put in place to auto sort accounts and just put in numbers from this date to this date and accounts created during those times show up thats not the hard part actually i belive thats what they did for alpha players to sort them hahah and also yea for acheivement wise and activity acheivment sounds more appropriate i agree with ninja there and alsooo in response to faybee that would be fine too im just keeping the theme of the post hahah maybe skins would work but i think from most people we would hear a "wow these are just eye candy and everyone has them we all look alike they dont make us unique at all" but eh im sure you might have some skin ideas? haha im curious any ideas?

DillBagel -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 2:42:54)

@Bones There are many times where they used to be at the top. There areplenty of players who are warlord/commander/emperor and aren't at the cap. Why? It's a little called retirement, and tons of us have done it. I know I'm not at the cap, I don't play enough anymore after my partial retirement. Not being the level cap doesn't mean we haven't played as much as some level 33 gamma player with 5000 wins.

Wandering Guardian -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 4:12:17)

I've upgraded my ED account with over 340,000 varium according to my portal account 'upgrade history', so i strongly support this idea.

Nehal007 -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 4:41:58)

goldslayer1 -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 4:44:06)

this would be a good idea.

Dendavex -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 6:16:55)

I spent over 37k varium Idea supported.

MrBones -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 7:19:27)

If they were at the top and bought alot of varium during that period, they deserve the reward. The time period you spent your money in is irrevelant . A retired player who have spent alot will have the reward. What good is a FTP player with 100k wins if he never spent a dime on the game ?

Yeah yeah ''supporting'' the game is not only about the money but the bottum line is: you can't pay salaries and bills with only enthusiasm and good intentions. Again money talks.

DillBagel -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 13:32:34)

Does anyone have a forum account named "Money"? Because that would really help our cause here.
I also still think it should be done off money if we're going payments, not varium. If you can't always get the big one, you buy the smaller ones. I for one, always have the smaller ones. Meaning I've paid enough for over 20k, but I've only gotten 11,250. It's still the same money supporting the game.

Fay Beeee -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 13:37:32)

@papasmurf44

The skins I am thinking of would be able to go over the armour and would be usable according to gender. Nothing weird or OTT.

Because kids play also, so must be appropriate for the game.

DillBagel -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 13:39:45)

About what you'd find in a T game, because that's what the original ToA placed it as.

MrBones -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 14:34:41)

Off Topic: I want a Mr.T skin....I pity the fools

On topic: 50k varium should be enough to get all special stuff.

@Down, Bloodweb: I not sure how this relate to ''long therm ED supporters but good for you bro.

bloodweb -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/12/2011 14:44:46)

omg dude i just found by looking at the wiki the best set up for a bounty hunter in the game ok get the new delta claws the beta side arm the beta canon and the bunny borg armor then give 19 slot enchantments to dex and 19 to tech of the 38 slots you get from those items

then make your stats 56 strength 46 dex 45 tech and 48 suport base with 45 energy and 71 health
at level 33 your final stats will be 68 strentgh 96 dex 85 tech and 60 suport with the plus bonuses that combo with bloodlust, smokescreen, and shadow arts maxed and you would be unstopable [:D]

T.600 -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/13/2011 2:53:26)

When I used the term 'supporters', I was referring to the people who have spent money on this game. I didn't really want you guys to discuss that aspect of it, I'm more interested in the reward that they should receive. Obviously an achievment would be good.

We don't really need skins...Why not just make a whole new armor instead? The only difference between skins and armors would be stats, and it might confuse people in battle. If you want to wear something to show-off you could just show off that item outside of battle. The good thing about skins is that they won't alter anything in battle, and they are just for show-off. Nevertheless, the achievment could be the 'show-off' aspect and then the other reward could be... I'll leave that sentence for you guys to complete XD.

E.G: You could stand at oz with the Marauder Bike and Founder Armor, just simply to show off.

Segmail -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/17/2011 18:49:18)

I've spent about 800-900 dollars on this game. [:'(]

InceptionAE -> RE: Long-time Supporters of ED. (7/18/2011 0:56:27)

I like the idea, I support it.

An achievement and a free weapon of some kind.

Achievement name: Survivor Rating: 5.000 Desc. : Long-time supporters of ED.

Weapon: Anything Idk.
