T.600 -> RE: Playing styles (7/10/2011 7:38:12)

It depends on the class I am, and the weapons available to me. I generally stick with a defensive style, and that's reflected in my very good win/loss ratio. At the moment, whoever is luckier wins the battle most of the time and the playing style doesn't seem to be making such a difference. This is only because of the new classes which brought balance issues, although I'm sure there will be plenty of balance alterations in the upcoming updates. Heal loop was the mighty defensive build, although now it's probably a plain old five focus build. There have been many famous offensive builds in Epicduel; there was the mighty strength bounty at first, then came the era of support mercs who loved to crit like crazy, next were the new era of bounty hunters which utilised shadow arts to its full extent, then came the strength mercs. Right now, there are a mix of these builds around and of course you will see the ocassional strength mage. Since the new Blood Mage class is focused on strength, I would guess that the strength mage would enter this gallery of offensive builds, that would be great since there haven't been any 'eras' of strength mages in Epicduel's history.
