Beta,

because back then...
my class had heal loop.
alot of my friends were all active back then.
the faction wars were made on most wins, and no flags, or warkills etc.
two factions, 1 from each allignment could win WD.
Less spamming, or abuse being yelled, and more fun and relaxed talking.

I may also like beta because I didn't need 5 kajillion dollars to earn my title of best non-founder merc (as voted by the EDF woot) at the time. I've calculated that I'd need $80 to take that spot again now. (Which isn't happening trolololol)
I guess this thread has it's daily dose of narcissism now. :3

Mir is right. Flags came mid beta before the arcade. It was introduced right after tokens and buyable achievements.

Dill are you sure we never had flags in december 2009. Sorry I join my first faction in january or february. I join my first faction when I was 23.

Well, beta of course. But why?

- There was more creativity in builds. I saw people with such a broad variety of builds: Strength bounties using Rixty ripper, heal loop, support builds, tank builds, strength bounties and just about everything possible! I even remember seeing someone with around 300 health, and he was using the beta weapons :D.

- Less cost, the main reason why it was a lower cost back then was because you didn't have to enhance all your items, you didn't have to keep buying new primaries every few weeks.

-A friendlier and maturer community (in general). I'm not saying that everyone was perfect, but I can tell you that there weren't any fame pleaders, and less younger players. Although, the first day I played, I remember someone saying, "Press f5 for free varium". That was quite amusing.

BETA hands down every class had their OPed build and every1 were more happier and there were no such thing as fame which ruined the oz world 7-8 hang out spot.

I loved those guys. Than it somehow backfired on them when I asked if they knew what Ctrl + W did. Of course, they tried.

Sadly i did not join ED until Gamma, so i know i missed the golden era of Alpha and Beta which is said by many people to be the best Phase. However Gamma had the Gamma Bot which used to help me tremendously when i was a 5 Focus. But now, since Delta has arrived, it's a tough decision because i feel Delta will personaly be ED's best phase to date at least for me due to the upcoming release/s.

Any point in this discussion? We all know all of u are going to pick beta, just saying. From what I've heard I pick beta but my vote's subject to change the more we get into delta.
