earth breather -> ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 5:33:03)

Now before you guys don't bother reading this first post and go: "Ah what the heck, Ima post there's no storyline and this dude is mental" I beg you to continue reading.

Now, A lot and I mean a LOT of you are saying ED has no storyline, Well guess what? YOU ARE WRONG! See, I thought about this in ma tub(I get alot of good ideas whilst bathing.) and I realised you guys think about it from a "Game" Perspective. I thought of it as a Real life Perspective. If you think about it close enough, Reinforcements: In game: you get points. In real life: you get backup, more soldiers! And ED is "Legion v Exile" War based. So Think of it as that. and When you hire or fire a cannon: you eradicate legion or exile soldiers! So yeah, you guys need to think more in depth about this. ok? Just my Perspective.

or its just a way to get more money :) knowing that for a chevo you must pay 35-50$ to do 10k war kills and knowing that all the ppl on war kills LB have spent over 1kz $z and some of em over 5kz on a flash game ?

There is a storyline which was written by Big tuna: =ED= The Storyline.

You can view the Epicduel 'story' trailer at Oz in Central Station.

There have been several references made to a story by Cinderella in the Epicduel Game Design Notes as well; you can see her talk about Alydriah, the Imperial Tech Mage and the new classes. They have a story behind them.

I Know of those pages but I am talking about the hurry up with the storyline debate.

Kain Sariel -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 6:59:00)

I swear there was more info on the old ED forums. The story had its own section.

TankMage -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 7:02:50)

@Kain, There's still a forum with all the ED storyline to date, You can find it here ED Storyline

Acient J -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 7:59:02)

Kain, you'll find that every individual post Big Tuna made in the old forums has made its way here. The only difference is that instead of being in a single board, they are in a single thread.

If I remember correctly, Titan (or maybe Nightwraith) told us right after the merger that EpicDuel worked "backward"--they started by building a really good PvP system, they're working on all the game features now, and the real storyline (with missions that add onto each other) will come after EpicDuel comes out of this developing stage.

Remorse -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 8:05:08)

Yeh I agree, I however think it's all the little things that stick out to me showing that their is a sort of storylin ein this game. EG have you guys noticed some of the Legion Posters around the place than have been ripped up and in it's place a graffitii spray of "EXILE RULES" on the wall. It sorta tells me that their is a struggle between the rebels and the military order.

Banir -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 9:40:08)

The presence of two factions fighting each other doesn't mean there is a story. Sure we're fighting in a "war", but since this is PVP, you'll fight players that are both Exile and Legion. It also doesn't help that you have to talk to Oz under Story to get an outdated video about the "Story".
Basically, no, there isn't really a story to this game. Just hints of one.

midnight assassin -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 11:31:02)

Wow I have a feeling that there will be a mission in which if you're an exile, you need to challenge legion and vice versa.

DillBagel -> RE: ED: A secret Storyline? (7/13/2011 13:44:10)

There's so far a hint of a story line. I'd really like to see BigTuna's full story line placed into the game though.
