Sipping Cider -> Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:39:39)

We have all wished that we could get stuff for free at some point in our experience of playing epic duel

All forumers have seen people accuse the developers of being greedy people that want as much money as possible from new updates.

Well, it turns out thats true!!!!!!!!!!!! The Devs want money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok.......... but is that so bad?

If your an adult, you probably have a job and you probably get paid to do you job.

Well, as far as i know, developing epic duel is the devs job. That means they should get paid for it, and right now that way is through people purchasing varium.

If everything were to be free on epic duel that would mean no money going to the devs meaning they do not get food meaning they can not work meaning we do not get updates!

Of course, they could go for the advertisement strategy, but my guess is they will need a lot more people playing epicduel before companies will pay good money to advertise at ED

This was already mentioned before, but playing as a non-varium is kind of like a demo and if you decide you want to keep playing and be competitive you purchase varium.

Still disagree and think the devs are evil? have some information that proves me wrong?
or did this enlighten you? do you now understand more about the world?
Either way please discuss your opinions and try to prove me wrong or justify me right or just post for the fun of it (jk stay on topic please)

Of course they need money.

Lamborginis, gold digging girls, the bling bling, 23 inches mag wheels, pimp hats, golden teeth, personal assistants, 6 feet cakes ^^.... you know, the usual.

Now seriously, they should make money. They had a good idea with this game and it's working good for them. I wish them all the succes they deserve. You have to be pretty naive to think they are making tons of money with this game anyway. And even if they do, thats their own buiness.

Long live EpicDuel.

Of course, I choose Beta.
Creativity was rampant, you did not need Varium to compete, and the overall community was great.
Skilled players were actually known, now all you need is to purchase the top gear and you're set to go.

Look what happened now?

yeah! and the mansion and trampoline and giant indoor skiing resort^ lol but my guess is that they are not that rich with money

MrBones -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:50:02)

@EdwardVulture: You have no ideas how expensive pimps hats are my friend.

Calogero -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:54:13)

Seeing 10 k packages cost 50$, and most Promo's are added in that package, I am safe to say they can afford a Pimp Hat for every Staff member.

edwardvulture -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:56:08)

@Mr. Bones I steal them

Sipping Cider -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:58:00)

Well, they probably only get one person to upgrade a day,

that would be $50 day and when split between staff that is like $10 a day

thats like having a job that pays $1 dollar an hour!!!!!!!!!!! (assuming they work around 10 hours a day)

i do not think we will see any devs with pimp hats walking around, unless they have another part time job as a pimp

jarrenh1 -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 14:59:13)

Actually the staff gets paid on an hourly wage i think, all prices are set through artix, so that means the money goes to artix to run the sites and the servers

Sipping Cider -> RE: Paying money for epic duel (7/14/2011 15:00:32)

oh.

that would mean the devs should not really care about getting people to upgrade since either way they get paid the same amount.
