Demonicgamer666 -> A Guide to AQW's Suggestions (7/14/2011 18:46:22)
|
I believe my thread can do well to thrive under the Pending Guides Forum and wish it to be unlocked which is why I came here as suggested by the AK Technomancer. While I certainly agree with AK Technomancer that its sections can belong in the either the Suggestions Forum and GD Forum it as a whole is more than a suggestion and topic to discuss. This is absolutely what I want to avoid. Great suggestions are being squandered by the clutter of other suggestions around them. Also, the Guide Forum can be more than simple How to's and I think my thread more or less fills several definitions of the word "Guide" and two of which I have bold that I can see hold great significance to my thread. Guide: –verb (used with object) 1. to assist (a person) to travel through, or reach a destination in, an unfamiliar area, as by accompanying or giving directions to the person: He guided us through the forest. 2. to accompany (a sightseer) to show points of interest and to explain their meaning or significance. 3. to force (a person, object, or animal) to move in a certain path. EXPAND –noun 6. a person who guides, especially one hired to guide travelers, tourists, hunters, etc. 7. a mark, tab, or the like, to catch the eye and thus provide quick reference. 8. a guidebook. I hope fresh AK eyes can clear this matter up. Possibly Famous Last Words: It is a guide because it will be a beacon to those who share the same suggestion find each other and stand side by side in a united front. P.S. I now just noticed the mod skydrite's AQWorlds Suggestions: Frequently Suggested Ideas thread and if my guide must die I would very much like to see that this thread is expanded to accommodate at least one key aspect of my thread which would be to support a suggestion. I was shocked to see this on there quote:
Ability to kick AFK/inactive players on PvP and lock your own house - The staff are aware of this suggestion. Having it posted again and again now will not change the likelihood or time-scale of its implementation. I understand the futility of having a suggestion posted again and again, but in the clutter the suggestions forum is in who would go through several hundred posts to see if anybody had the same suggestion before they themselves post? This just isn't quite right. As I see it, it will dismay the few posters that read it and antagonize other posters that read it. My thread, my guide, awaits your judgement. ~Demonicgamer666
