DeathSpawn -> Change Reset Time (7/15/2011 12:37:40)

Lets face it. Alot of these players have been dominating boards because it resets right as there waking up or whatever the case may be while some of us have already been awake all day and are just going to bed preparing for the next day as it resets.

Players are more motivated to stay on and go for medals and what not when they see there so far ahead so it's definitely an unfair advantage but someone has to have it.

Solution: Just change the reset times every once and awhile. Could announce future times or could possibly implement a new feature where it would change every 23 or 25 hours that way it's constantly changing times with no additional effort by the team.

Whats your opinions?

5rr5 -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/15/2011 12:38:12)

It should be every 12 hours!

Baron Dante -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/15/2011 12:47:37)

Changing the reset times? I suppose it's not hopeless idea, as it wouldn't really change anything for those that are planning to play a full 24 hours.

However, I have to ask: Does it really make a difference? It's still 24 hours, meaning you would still sleep the same amount of time. At the current, if you want first place, you will most likely have to play for the full 24 hours anyways, so it's all about adjusting your time usage.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just not sure what it would change. Clarify?

TTG Sean -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/15/2011 12:48:57)

Yeah I agree with you Dante, Ive Been in 3rd For Awhile and I played for 20 Hours Straight And I Passed Out Lol And I Ended up 6th

DeathSpawn -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 14:39:42)

Well most of the people winning DON'T stay on 24 hours. "Edit: Varium players that is as non-varium don't stand much of a chance without the full 24" Also players are more motivated to stay online when there faction is in the lead.

For EST it changes at 1am when normal people are asleep lol but for others it changes at a time where they haven't already been awake for 14 hours or so or they are just waking up when it changes then they snatch that lead and everyone jumps on the wagon and runs with it.

If noone has noticed it's all about the first 5-7 hours for this game. Just look at the leaderboards and you'll see what I mean. People will snatch the lead within that time or quit. Same for factions as a whole.

It's very difficult for those of us that go to sleep and couldn't catch up even if we played 18 hours straight after waking up because then they will just end up staying up the full 24.

For those just waking up on a daily basis as it resets they have the option to stay on whereas the others have to do the so called planning you were speaking of.

Seriously think this would change a lot of the leaders you see running the boards on a daily basis.

Change power hour time :o

Fatal Impact -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:21:45)

I say choose a day on the weekend and go to bed at 2pm, then wake up at reset and play 24hrs.

My bad, I dont let anyone ever play on my account so I dont know the rules for other people taking "shifts". It was just a thought, calm down people.

Polandor -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:25:11)

Every 12 hours would make more sense, and every 6 hours even more.

Most ppl have a life outside this browser game.

aqwshadowking14 -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:25:20)

@^ Im pretty sure 2 ppl taking shifts is not allowed.

DeathSpawn -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:28:46)

That's not what I'm talking about....

I'm talking about those that don't have to plan anything then by waking up right as it resets there able to just stay on because it ended up being a slow day and a easy victory for them without having to stay up 24 hours.

I'm saying it's time to change the times so others have this advantage.

Mr. Black OP -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:41:11)

@dante
well sometimes the reset is perfect for some players so they dominate with 500+ wins go to sleep, since they are so far ahead everyone else just gives up hope :/
i like the idea of every 12 would be more fair but make the dailys go rare add 1000 to them, and make the new half dailys for 2k but u cant get them if u got the previously mentioned rare ones to prevent people with 3 dailys for 9k get 3 more for 15k total

helloguy -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/16/2011 23:46:38)

I got my badge and it only took 12 hours

goldslayer1 -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/17/2011 0:09:50)

i believe its allowed but only if its a family member

ND Mallet -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/17/2011 0:39:46)

@gold No it's not allowed even if it's a family member. You can let a family member play on your acc to show them the game but 12 hours is way more than is needed to show them the game. You would only need 5-20 minutes to show them this game. 30 if you really want to go in-depth.

I don't see what changing the reset time would do to stop the same people from getting on it every day. Changing the time it resets will make it easier for other players that might end up waking up during the reset but we would be right where we started again. The same names on the leaderboards but different people instead of the ones who were on it before the change.

DeathSpawn -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/17/2011 0:44:19)

^ Right and that's the reason for the constant changing to provide this "Balance" and "Fairness" they seem to want so badly here.

ND Mallet -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/17/2011 0:58:56)

@Death No matter what you do with reset times, some people will be getting an advantage and others will be at a disadvantage. The only thing changing the reset time will do is mess up the plans of players going for the leaderboards, take up Titan's time and cause a bunch of confusion.

DeathSpawn -> RE: Change Reset Time (7/17/2011 1:03:24)

Ok well I edited awhile ago the initial post and maybe you didn't see the suggestion buttttt.......

If they make it so it changes either every 23 or 25 hours then it will be an hour different every day creating equality for this issue.

I don't see this taking up much time to change the current reset timer by an hour....
