Why are players flaming each other so much? in the old days (beta) players used to be in a society where everyone was nicer to eachother and no one cared what other people thought about them but now all of a sudden people care so much that they trash talk eachother and their friends. Please explain and discuss why you think it changed so much...

@zman 2 yes but why would they take it out on others?!?! also most players flame the mods and devs... id like ot see them do better then what these people are doing for us and the game :)

More like everyone thinks there the absolute shiznet. Why not I mean who wants to play a game where they constantly lose? One reason I don't understand how there's so many of these Nons running around with 20k losses lol....astonishing...

@latin lover i realize that it changed, but it doesnt mean that the people have to change... :/ they make it so that people dont respect them anymore or dont even try to giv them respect

@deathspawn I realize everyone thinks they are the greatest but to be the greatest you have ot gain respect from people and be noticed as a nice, respectful, loyal, AWESOME :P player. And also those people who talk trash have low self-esteem and i feel bad for them because they will not be liked by anyone if they keep it up

Yes but that is because they allowed it to change them, i mean some people have not changed like latin lover (respectful but still speaks their mind) i just dont understand how people can be changed by the game's in-game fighting and items and other players attitudes / it is different if a real life event changed them but if the game changed them then they need real help.

There was always flaming but most people overlook the negatives of the past and only look for the positives. There was always people who spammed but it wasn't for Fame back in Beta. It was for factions instead. They either spammed for people to join their faction or to join someone's faction. There were always arrogant players who thought themselves better win or lose. There were always people who cussed every other word. Alpha had the same problems as any other phase. Do you know why we get more terrible community members now that we're in Delta? It's because we're gaining many new players and word is getting out about ED. And if you ever made an alt in Beta you might've noticed that some lower level players were really rude and arrogant. All those players didn't quit playing. They leveled up to the lvl cap and now we have to deal with them in our battles. There will always be a terrible community. This is the internet. That's the only reason there is and trying to pin the issue to another cause is only wasting your time.

Well in the end I guess people are people and that's life. I doubt anyone here Majored in Psychology and even then their colleagues would disagree with whatever they would say to. Everyone has their own opinions and when they collide it creates chaos. It's the way of the world.

I think people flame so much out of their own ignorance or stupidity I don't ever flame and I have been playing since founder came out even though I'm on a new account now I would like to meet some of y'all in game even though I'm only level 19 and I'm not at 33 yet because I stopped playing for a while

Meh, after a day playing juggernaught I was honestly taken aback by the level of flaming in the game... Seems there is a lack of a functioning reporting tool or chat supervision. Are all the mods playing on the test server because I have a few in my buddy list but rarely see them on-line!

^ Honesty is fine but if you want to complain about the game then is the in-game chat the best way! I personally feel that I am not the conduit to be abused with negative comments about a battle modes or relative balance! What point is there in attacking the players because they heal, are just playing the game or have a varium advantage... I thought that is why we have a feedback thread in the forums! Seems that most people would rather spam the in-game chat with negativity than to express their feelings in the appropriate forum and to me this is really negative to the growth of the game as it is quite off putting to continually have to be annoyed by the spam. Maybe it would be better to just have all chats closed when battling. It would help lag a huge amount, but then again it is a massive game feature. What I am trying to say is it just needs to be monitored more. Maybe like herosmash or AQW if a mod could be watching the chats and type in a response that came up in the game, a warning 1st then a chat lock, this would be great addition. A bit big brother, but would help stop some of the rubbish being generated at the moment!

Well you could always just ignore that type of player, and I disagree with adding a feature like aqw because their chat strictness can be quite annoying at times.

Well the question was why they do it? Because they can and there are no repercussions. This has compounded over time due to lack of proper moderation and will continue to spiral downwards unless some sort of control is put into place... Bit hard to ignore when it is just a constant stream of abuse of game terms and conditions! The forums are monitored and controlled and yet the game is just running rampant with the same rubbish that is moderated with a heavy hand on the forums. What a joke :(

people must really just hate you then because I don't seem to have this problem in game. I get the occasional bad mouth player but not to the extent you are making it out to be.

Because there will always be arrogant immature kids who simply do not care what they say.They have no respect for anybody,they say what they want cause well,this is internet.They are hiding behind their characters like masks.Some are so into this game they think they are the best and if they get told otherwise,they will become aggressive,they will fight all day just cause they cannot accept being wrong. In short,I think the main reason is, majority of players are simply so immature and arrogant they don't care what they say to who.No respect for anybody.There is nothing we can do about it,that's how kids are these days... Oh and the fact that so many old,nice players quit the game and still are quitting,we are left with new,rude generation.

@voidance, I spent the day doing juggernaut! I only did it because i wanted the achievement to get the rating points... I didn't enjoy it at all :( There are a few problems with that mode and it gets expressed in-game in no uncertain terms... I have been playing a few other accounts at the lower levels and have noticed that the general chat in-game is not all that nice! Meh, I'll sleep it off and forget I even bothered to address the subject! But if you think it's fine I must be mistaken as you would know better :/

If I have to play the game with some sort of big brother/moderator over my shoulder, I am out of here (with almost the rest of the adult community I'm sure). Internet is like the farwest, toughen up. I get the bad player once in awhile but in over all it's not as bad as you are saying. I have played jugger mode. Although it's clear that the players hate it, again I think it's not that bad. Life is rude. Everyday, on the road, I have to deal with rude people. At work, at the supermarket everywhere. Well manured folks are a dying breed.
