I know that this thread may appear to be too over-formal? But I'd rather have a thread consisting of all the suggestions, rather than ones scattered around the board and then being collated together by moderators - hence the thread subject.
I'd like to suggest some form of notification and the ability to 'subscribe' to threads.

When you've subscribes to a thread, each time someone comments on the thread in question, you'd receive a notification that would appear in the top user-command bar. This would allow you to know when someone has responded to your thread and allow you to respond alot faster than you'd be able to by checking your thread every five minutes - It would allow you the freedom to browse the forums and post elsewhere! This notifcations would be shown with a little number in red on the user-command bar (how many notifications you have). Upon clicking the number, a pop-up box will appear showing the thread that you have subscribed to and the number of new notifications.

I understand that the coders have developed this forum and made it very different to the base it is created from - but with it being quite and old base, it may not support this suggestion. But this is only a suggestion and I'm aware people may have posted this before and it have been turned away.
