What often makes a game fun is the urge to become more powerful and the urge to win. When a game satisfies these urges the illusion of fun sets in. However, in a PvP game there can only be 1 winner. This effectively destroys the satisfaction of the urge to win for many players who are not as skilled with this game as others. The urge to become more powerful is technically satisfied in ED...if your willing to pay the price. Being that many can't pay or are too lazy to do free offers, the satisfaction of this urge is blocked off for many as well. So, this now leaves us with a very selective group of people who are willing to pay and are good at playing. All players beneath them are almost completely neglected. This is what keeps ED thriving, collecting money from those who have money to burn and are willing to burn it in order to satisfy the primal urge to win. That doesn't sound too good, does it?

I have a challenge for you ED. Find a way to satisfy these urges for ALL players. If you can accomplish this, I can guarantee that you will see a significant rise in your player base. That could easily transfer to more income, depending on how you solve this problem. If you choose to take on this challenge, good luck.

Supported, non varium users have no chance against varium ones. Period. That needs to change, on beta everyone had a fair shot

i think Titan is trying becuase people were saying something about some new weapon lacking Stat modifers awhile back making it "weak" so by cutting back on the Stat modifers that Variums have over F2Ps you are making us more of a challange but still giving a reason to buy Varium

But the other side of the coin that Primal thrill is even greater for a F2P that beats a Varium

But yes you are right winning gives a primal thrill this is why i am on an Air rifle team(cant use real rifles in the school) for that thrill of winning

it does seem like ppl who pay win more i mean it happens alot in rpg games i mean like theres this one game i play where u buy ap u can buy premium items like armor and wepons with stats thru the ceiling. but the made it work because they had this random pod thing inwhich u payed like 3000 credits for and was able to get a random weap/armor so like it was fun and balanced until re kept gettin updates because of hackers [:@] havnt played the game since because i cant update it

Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to make a post all about how disadvantaged non-vars are. I'm trying to point out what makes a game fun and how what ED is currently doing isn't effectively spreading fun to all players.

One way to make all players happy is to buff the non varium players and THEN decrease the varium price. If you did it the other way round then some variumites might feel cheated :P

Save youre breaths. I do agree that nonvariums need a buff, but knowing ED, they probbaly wont do it, all the yelling will only be pointless. Deal with it, argue and create more pointless threads, pay, or quit are probbaly the only option's nonvariums have.
