T.600 -> Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:38:17)

As we know, there's going to a new Limited Quantity armor today. It will be related to AQW's Arc Attack event, but oh no! It's a limited rare! The Limited Rare system in Epicduel right now is broken, it's terrible. I've already explained my opinions on the LQS in the ED DN's Thread, it's on page 5.

The point of this thread is just to address some of the issues of the Epicduel LQS system, and to find some improvements that we can make to them. Here's all the things that I'd like to see to perfect the system:

- Have 3 restocks, one in the evening for the U.S.A, one in the evening for Europe and one in the evening for Asia.

- Once the items are out of stock and have been restocked, they will go rare and never return.

- In the Design Notes, inform us of the prices of the items, their stats, what they look like.

This week has been ridiculous; it's already the day of the release and we don't even know WHERE we can buy the armor...Just ridiculous. I dont blame Cinderella for it though, I blame Nightwraith for not telling her. Why don't we have any pictures of the armors yet? Why don't we know their prices? The only valid reason that I can find is because they haven't finished making the armor.

Anyway, what do you think of the LQS system in ED, and what improvements would you like to see made? Or would you like the whole LQS idea to be gone forever?

DillBagel -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:43:27)

Number 1) Give us a set time, no matter when the actual release is going to happen.
Number 2) Restock as needed for the first couple of days and then make it disappear.
Number 3) Add a suggestion item to every LQS to see if it can beat out Nightwraith's items for sales. (What? I only want to see[:D])
Number 4) Show us what the items will look like, than we know whether we should waste our time with more varium or not. :3

Fatal Impact -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:43:56)

They need limited TIME not limited QUANTITY.

DillBagel -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:44:48)

LTS and LQS are two separate things. Most games have both.

AQWPlayer -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:48:34)

Even with many restocks, some people will still purchase loads of those rares just to improve their own rarity score :P

T.600 -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:49:49)

@above: If you know the time of each restock and the time of the initial release, then you shouldn't miss getting the weapons of your choice. Trust me, I play AQW and I was on at 10AM EST (time of the LQS) and I could of bought Soul Harvester if I wanted to but I chose the Steamgear stuff because I liked it more.

kaiseryeux21 -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:51:48)

i dont see any problem with the lqs. the problem is with the players who are so abusive and selfish. lets not blame titan or cinderella or any other devs about this. blame this to some of the players who thinks they can be very popular or powerful by busing multiple items.

AQWPlayer -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:53:36)

Maybe they just buy them before anyone else can so that they can still get easy wins? :P

T.600 -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 2:54:20)

@above: Are you sure? We have no idea when this release is going to be. We have no idea what the armor will look like. We don't know the price of the armour. We don't know the stats of the armour. We don't know the quantity of the armour. We don't know if it will go rare. We don't know when the restocks will be, and if there will be any. We should be informed of all this prior to the release so that we know when to go online and so that we can decide if we want to buy the items.

Buffy A. Summers -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:02:30)

When AQW Has LQS...They Preview It By Doing The Following Very Important Things:

Showing Graphic Pictures Of All The Items That Will Be Available.

Giving The Exact Cost Of Each Item. (Gold/AC = Credits/Varium)

Giving The Number Available Of Each Limited Item.

Telling The Exact Time When The Shop Will Open.

That Is A Professionally Run Game And Event. EpicDuel Does Not Do This...Ever.

The Answer As To Why Seems Simple To Me... This Game Is NOT Professionally Run...

They Are Most Likely, Making It Up As They Go Along So To Speak...Finishing And Adjusting Things Last Minute...As Always.

For A Game That Costs Us So Much Money...This Recurring Problem Is Unacceptable.

DillBagel -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:09:54)

If you haven't noticed yet, AQW accounts for half of AE's game staff and money. We don't exactly have a full size staff for a growing game, but there isn't anywhere to take staff from, because heaven forbid we take 1 of AQW's 7 billion.

T.600 -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:12:27)

@Dill: It only takes one person to do all the stuff I suggested. It's so easy...I mean I could do it.

I'd just show a picture of the armor.

Write down the price, write down the stat modifiers, write down when the restocks will be and make everything else clear :). It really doesn't take a team of rocket scientists to do that much...

AQWPlayer -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:13:33)

@Buffy
I agree that they should tell us everything we need to know. Even if they are busy, how much time could it possibly take to post the prices and stats? I don't think it can take more than 2 minutes for each item.

DillBagel -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:15:02)

@T600 It does on an item the may not even be ready yet. :P If you can see the future a salute you. xD
Creativity takes time, which means designing items for a game 24:7 tends to ruin it. :P Only so many ideas can pop into one's head.

Buffy A. Summers -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:33:51)

The Lack Of Staff Is Begining To Become The Biggest Excuse Used Again And Again.

Soultion: Hire At Least One More Staff Member.

As For The "Preview"...

Cinderella Promised That Nightwraith Would Show Pictures Of The Armors...Doing So, 3 Hours Before The Release Is A Bit Late.

I Swear...I Really Believe They Are Still "Working On Things"...Hours And Minutes Before The Release Goes Live.

What Does That Say About This Game And It's Staff?

Where Are The Pictures Of Armors Ahead Of Time?

Why Can't They Tell Us The Cost Of The Limited Armor?

LamentationsXV -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:36:06)

I think they should release 150 weapons/armors on it's debut.
Then:

  • Restock Day 1 - Well, for Asia, both power hours would be nice "Restock Hours" for us. 30-50 weapons/armors for both hours .
  • Restock Day 2 - Then 3-5 hours earlier for Europe. Another 30-50 weapons/armors for both hours.

Additions?[:)]

Buffy A. Summers -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 3:42:50)

@

That's A Great Idea Sis...As The Time Of Release Is Not Beneficial To The European And Asian Time Zoned Players.

It Would Be Better If They Did A Limited "Time" Shop Instead As Many Have Suggested.

Imagine... 48 Hours Only. Then Gone Forever. No Restock. That Would Give The Entire Community A Better Chance To Get It During That "Event Time Frame".

EDluyil -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 4:07:05)

Why dont make it that you must buy in the first 24 hours instead of limited quantity? I find it quite annoying that I can't play ED when they release a LQS

drinde -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 4:17:07)

This prevents hoarding, so it helps indirectly.

Any number of the same item will only give one rarity score.

DillBagel -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 4:37:05)

Limited items in this game should t give rarity score anyways. They never actually leave the game. They keep coming back. :P

aqwshadowking14 -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 4:40:20)

Easy, so set a time (10:00 a.m. for example). At 10:00 a.m. open the LQS shops, then at 10:00 p.m. restock. That way almost every player has a chance to obtain it.

TurkishIncubus -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 5:16:17)

1)Divide Stocks In Hours

I suggested this idea before too , i think its the most logical idea to make every ppl have a chance to buy limited items

If we asume that the item will have 500 stocks.

1st hour(ex:17:00) - 100 stocks will be in sale (imagine 94 items sold)
2nd hour(ex:18:00)- 100 +6(the items from previous hour) will be in sale ( 90 items sold)
3rd hour(ex:19:00)- 100 +16 will be in sale
4th hour ...........
5th hour ...........

And item will be rare.

2)Hour Limited Items

There will be a hour limit to buy the items.

if the update will be in 16:30 than admins will set a time that will stop sale , 16:30 to 18:00 you can buy the item with limitless. than it will be rare.

Calogero -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 5:57:02)

Only 2 things should be changed to the LQS imo

1: Divide it over the big timezones ( as suggested above USA - Europe - Asia )
2: 1 of said item Per character

King FrostLich -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 6:18:07)

Why not simply do this. You can only buy the armor ONCE its in your inventory. If you sell it, you can buy it again. Get what I mean?

Calogero -> RE: Brainstorming to improve Epicduel's LQS system (7/22/2011 6:30:34)

@ Frost

I prefere not...

I've seen this a dumpload of times in AQW

They buy, sell, buy, sell, buy, sell
So unless the Sold item is put back into the shop, I don't see that idea working
(I know people, they can be cruel to prevent others of having it in whatever way possible )
