New Release Thread Archive As time goes on, new releases aren't as new as they used to be. We have decided to create an archive containing all the past releases which once were considered new as well as any information regarding that specific release. All updates are sorted by date and can be found below. The Purpose of this Thread New updates mean new questions. Here, we'll do our best to aid you in your adventure and answer most (or all, if possible) of your questions regarding the most recent releases. We'll post frequently asked questions, walkthroughs, new equipment and important information so as to help you navigate through the latest updates. You'll find every kind of information here. Don't worry about spoilers - we'll use the spoiler tags when needed (highlight the spoiler field to see text)! So, shall we get started? That button will take you to the NEW installment of this Wormhole - which is Part One and will be continued in the upcoming weeks. spoiler:
You receive a transmission from Zargon: a request for help! A message from Selina hints that Doctor Boltavolt (Billy) and the ShadowScythe are involved. There are still some lifesigns, but the planet is falling apart. Selina also lost her powers! What could have happened? -Click the 'Soluna?' button to watch the next cutscene- Char finally finds out the third wormhole (the first one was Yokai and the second one was Derizion, the game show planet): it leads to Zargon, four days ago, before the incident! Char tells Dean Warlic that, thanks to this wormhole, they can still change Zargon's fate. However, altering time is dangerous, so Warlic must first talk to Queenadent Pureheart. Queenadent Odessa Pureheart allows you and Sys-Zero to follow the wormhole and assess the situation on Zargon. When you do get there, you realize you're in the middle of a full scale ShadowScythe invasion! You battle a few of them (number of enemies depends on real life luck) and, while nearing Zargon, you are attacked by a Geekatron! After defeating this new enemy, Sys-Zero, who's piloting the ship you're both in, stumbles across Galactimech, which is being controlled by Selina's friend, Arachnid. You two eventually go to Selina's Lab and meet Dr Benner, formerly The Incredulous Bulk. He tells you the identity of the person who's causing trouble: Dr Boltavolt, who's allied with the ShadowScythe. He's the one using the Geekatrons against the heroes! It's time to launch an attack against him. TO BE CONTINUED. July 22nd, 2011 Update A brand new mission has been released in the new Zargon quest chain! Here, you must enter Billy Boltavolt's Lair so as to figure out what he has ben up to. Guard Drones will try to impede you (these are the first enemies that skip a turn so as to regenerate mana!), but you must keep going until you eventually meet the person you've been looking for all this time... This new quest features a brand new shop which contains Energy Blades (for NSC and for SC players) and a Front Arm (the Volt Strike series). However, to unlock this special shop, you must first collect a Key Card dropped by any of the Guard Drones (or you can buy them for 100 NGs from Sys-Zero). Frequently Asked Questions - Gameplay[FQG] July 15th, 2011 Update Q) How can I access this new mission? How can I start this chapter of the Dragonoid Saga? A) In Soluna City, click on the button labeled "Dean Warlic requests your presence". You'll go directly to the first cutscene (or to Sys-Zero if you have already completed the quest). Q) I'm having trouble defeating the ShadowScythe enemies! What mechas, equipment and builds should I use? A) We highly recommend you to check the following guide by Avantir: The Dragonoid Saga - Walkthrough. Check the section named "Planet Zargon Part II -- [PlZ]", and you should find plenty of helpful builds (including one to defeat Jawseph). Q) I'm having trouble defeating the Rebuilt Geekatron. What mechas, equipment and builds should I use? A) Here's a helpful quote from the guide The Dragonoid Saga - Walkthrough by Avantir: "[The Rebuilt Geekatron] can drop your damage and accuracy significantly, as well as having guaranteed critical attack and being able to drain your EP. You want to be ready for this battle. It has 60 Immobility, so don't bother with stunning." For builds, please check the question above (regarding the ShadowScythe enemies). July 22nd, 2011 Update Q) Where can I access this new mission? A) If you have already completed last week's mission, all you need to do is press the button labeled "Dean Warlic requests your presence". You'll go directly to Sys-Zero, who will allow you to start the new mission. If you haven't completed last week's quest, then you must first finish it in order to continue this exciting saga! Q) The maze is too complicated, I'm lost! A) Worry not. You can find a handy map created by the forum user Thiefboy109 by clicking here. Q) How do I obtain this Key Card? Where is the shop it unlocks? A) There are two ways. The easiest one consists in buying one from Sys-Zero for 100 NGs. If you do not have the NGs, though, you may acquire a Key Card by fighting Guard Drones. However, I must warn you that the drop rate is rather low. Once you have it, check this handy map created by the forum user Thiefboy109 by clicking here and go to the room containing a big screen. Q) I'm having trouble defeating these Guard Drones. Help! A) If you are a Star Captain, you have plenty of energy blades to choose from. If you still don't have one, I recommend the Solar Spike from Necryptos. If you are not a SC, you probably want to grab a powerful energy blade from Necryptos aswell. I suggest buying the Ultraviolet. Frequently Asked Questions - Storyline[FQS] July 15th, 2011 Update Q) What exactly are wormholes? Why are we looking for them? A) According to Char, "it is said that wormholes can travel great distances and even slice through the fabric of time. There's no telling when or where you'll end up. Your biggest concern is what will be happening when you land". spoiler:
As you may remember, after rescuing Char, you went back to GEARS University to find Jemini stealing some parts of a great weapon developed by Warlic. Normally, building a weapon is no big deal, but the parts she stole were extremely rare. Now, everytime Jemini travels to a different planet, a wormhole is created. You must follow these wormholes and locate the missing weapon parts while chasing Jemini and the ShadowScythe. Q) Why is Char helping me, anyway? A) spoiler:
Char's planet was destroyed by a Dragonoid supposedly sent by Korin. After trying to rescue a Mer'a survivor from their escape ship, Char decides to join you once she knows that Warlic is working on a weapon to destroy Korin and the ShadowScythe once and for all. Q) What happened to Zargon? A) spoiler:
Right now, all we know is that something really bad happened to Zargon. Lots of cities vanished, including Mechtropolis. We know that Billy Boltavolt and the ShadowScythe are involved, but it's impossible to figure out what really ocurred as the evidence was destroyed in the proccess. Oddly, Char finally manages to track the next wormhole, which leads to Zargon, 4 days ago, right before the incident. It's up to you to follow this new lead and prevent Zargon's fate. Q) Why have I just battled a Rebuilt Geekatron, if they were supposed to be my allies? A) spoiler:
Doctor Billy Boltavolt managed to steal some Geekatron technology from Selina. July 22nd, 2011 Update None listed. July 22nd, 2011 Update If you have a temporary sword equipped, such as the Yokai Blade, and you find the key, the shop unequips your Energy Blade. So if you are a non-Star Captain, you will want to use one of your strong blades such as the Ultraviolet from Necryptos so it won't be unequipped.
