How about giving incentives to those who have been playing and supporting EpicDuel since the past phases? It should vary on how long you have been playing.

MrBones -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 8:46:09)

If you take a look at an idea I posted yesterday, I mentioned that it would be great to have RANK requirement for some gear.

Commanders only auxi or amors, emperors only ect...

That is the ultimate way to reward players.

T.600 -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 8:46:24)

An 18 year old has the same rights as a 44 year old. There's no need to segregate the Epicduel community and it's wrong to have the belief that if you've been here for longer, you're better. No, we don't deserve anything special for supporting Epicduel in its previous phases. Everyone is equal everywhere.

Buffy A. Summers -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 9:34:23)

The "Loyalty" Awards Should Be Purely Based On Money Spent.

For Example... AQW.

In AQW, Players Who Have "PAID" For 3+ Months Or More Membership Got A Special Armor/Weapon Set., As Well As An Achievement.

Players Who "PAID" For 12+ Months Recieved A Special Class And Armor/Weapon Set, As Well As An Achievement.

In That Case, In Did Not Matter What Level You Were, Or How Long/Much You Had Been Playing Etc.

I'd Like To See EpicDuel Use Something Like That...It Should Not Be Based On Wins, Rank Or Time...But Money Spent Supporting The Game.

Like... $500+ Spent, Epic Supporter Badge And Special Bike... $1,500+ Spent, Epic Investor Badge And Special Bot.

It Should Not Be That Easy To Get. That's Just My Thoughts On It.

Again...AQW Did A Wonderful Job On Creating A Rewards System Based On Money Spent...(Long Time Membership), I'd Love To See ED Do The Same.

Dendavex -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 9:45:44)

@Buffy ED wont do it
IF they promise it it'll take 1 year+

redxtra -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 10:01:04)

@buffy

yea i seen that on aqw
like have it have shops for ranks and shops for how long you been on ED. and also a shop for how much varium you bought.
like it will be one npc with 3 shops.....
rank shop-the higher your rank the more items are in the shop
veteran shop-the longer you been on epicduel the more items in the shop
loyalty shop-the more varium u buy the more items that are in the shop. starting at $10-20-40-50-100-200-300 ect. and everything is worth creds

AQWPlayer -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 10:09:45)

AQW doesn't quite reward the beta testers except for the beta berzerker class, but in ED it is worse, cause all we get is a useless achievement. AQW rewards the hard "working" players by introducing rank 10 classes, but in ED there is nothing like that, and even worse, I lose to full variums no matter how good my build and strategy is.

Snaipera -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 10:11:04)

Who the hell spends 1500 bucks on EpicDuel ??

Remorse -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 10:15:11)

I agree with T.600.

Nothing should be made by looking to the past.
What they could create is Wepons or armour which have to be earnt (eg. quest chain)
For the future players who are active and try hard.
This should give sufficient encourgmant for longer timers to continue playing.

The Doctor -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 11:19:25)

I don't know, really, but here's my opinion.
The entire system of rewarding someone for constantly paying (or playing, if that's what you mean) can easily alienate the newer players.

Another online game (RuneScape -hiss-) has recently tried a similar thing, called Loyalty Points.
Not only were their rewards terrible, they took an age to accumulate.

Rather like item enhancements here, if you didn't have the new reward item(s), you would quickly get behind.
Whether or not the actual reward for loyalty is good, it still generated problems.

I suppose that if a Loyalty Rewards system did not give you a reward that affected battles in-game, it could be fine.
Just speaking hypothetically here, but I think that a slightly useful bonus (not in combat) for loyalty wouldn't be as likely to widen the social class divide.

Can you use a player's age to mark them as a "Veteran" or a "Newb"?
No, you use their skill, so a reward for being a veteran should not affect your skill in battle.

Thank you,
~The Doctor

kwj3 -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 11:26:49)

^ Hi I posted under you

Yes to rewards that don't kill you in battle.

Deimos... -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 11:46:14)

What about honor points...?

Like in aika.. you can look it up. Type in

"Honor points in aika" on google. It will bring you to aika wiki.

VERY good system id say.

Retrosaur -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 13:52:03)

Buffy, we should have something like Combat Arms.

When you purchase NX, and use it in Combat Arms, you receive a grade, Bronze: 1 - 2500 nx cash spent, Silver: 2501-10000 nx cash spent, and so on (something like this)

Essentially, we just give a grade to each player, NO grade for people who don't use varium, bronze for those who spend a certain amoutn, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, etc.

Angels Holocaust -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 13:55:48)

@ Mr Bones

I actually like your idea of rank shops it'll get players to play this game more often, instead of spending money on this game. It'll reward those who actually play this game.

DEATH_CoUnTs -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 14:02:53)

I wouldn't see whats wrong with a loyalty program, runescape just came out with their own loyalty program and its working out okay.

Angels, the Devs need the money to run and improve the game.
If you just want to get players to play this game more often instead spending money on this game,
I believe, all the ideas will not be considered. Anyway, nice ideas guys! Good luck! :)

MrBones -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 15:23:57)

AVA ^^

95 % of the Commanders, Emperors and Legend are varium. They have supported the game more than enough. Rank required weapons would still have a varium cost anyway.

How is that losing money for them ?

DillBagel -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 15:25:26)

@Beastmo That's just factions alone for you. xD

If people were truly loyal to the game, they would not ask payment to be loyal. It shows how disloyal you are to something. If they're going to add something let them add it, don't ask. Greed is already killing this game, don't kill it further.

The Shadow Dragon -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 15:25:30)

Unsupported.

@Below, there, i typed something. Happy nao >_>?

DillBagel -> RE: Loyalty Rewards (7/27/2011 15:26:40)

@ShadowDragon Again, type something other than "unsupported" you look like a spam bot.
