Captain Rhubarb -> =WF= Gold and EXP Rewards Doubled for WarpForce monsters (8/3/2011 15:17:40)

Starting right now, both the Experience and Gold rewards from WarpForce battles have been doubled!


The daily XP and Gold caps for WarpForce have also been adjusted.
The caps are actually lower now, but designed especially for the pace that works best for WarpForce.

The new formulas are too difficult to easily describe, so don't ask! :)

Aelthai and Kanalyr were up to the task, so these formulas are available to you. Thanks goes to both of them for getting these out.

XP Cap = (3*1.055^PL +24 + 3*1.055^(PL^1.085))*400
Gold Cap = (1.055^PL + 8 + 1.055^(PL^1.085))*400

Well I already have more gold then I might use. But I appreciate the idea behind it and it makes XP-leveling easier.

When you say adjusted, have the caps been doubled to suit, or what change has been applied? Then again thinking about it, double the exp and gold caps would be just like it was before, heh.

Thats a cool update.
My warpforce character is level 99, so might start another one now.

I wonder if this will be a guide for possible changes in AQ.
(My level 128 character just hit the daily exp cap approx 30,000 exp points before it should have happened for some reason).

Not that I need anymore gold or XP, this update is great for those lower leveled characters trying to unlock the quests in the quest chains.

Thanks for the update Captain. Easier to hoard gold now, I guess :P

I don't think the new cap is less than the old one. I played for a bit today and hit my previous gold cap surprisingly fast (according to AQstats.com), and I can still get gold from battles. I'm going to test out how much gold you can get when I have a little bit more time on my hands :P

Doubling the rewards was a pretty nice change. This'll benefit lower/mid levels, making it easier to go through those slow levels as well (and unlock more quests).

This does make it rather ridiculously easy for higher leveled players to gain XP, though. Doubling all rewards means that you can encounter monsters that give almost 20.000 as regular encounters. Some Bosses now give over 50.000 XP. The cap being ~300.000 at levels 90 and up, that's only 15 'regular' battles before you hit your cap. o.O

It would seem they're not even present anymore ... .

Testing around for a bit, I was trying to go for my Gold cap and never met the XP cap along the way. I did 'hit' the (previous) Gold cap according to AQStats (127%) and ended up capping XP for over 200% and still haven't actually stopped gaining either. That's as far as I was willing to test. I think it's safe to say that this is not how it's supposed to be (that's an entire level's worth of XP you could gain in a single day).

I'm gonna stay away from WF (or at least refrain from cap farming) for a while until this is fixed.


Aelthai confirmed that this is in fact the way it's supposed to be. The caps follow you progress better now. Low at the lower levels, with large amounts of XP needed for the later ones.

I've edited the first post to include these formulas. Thanks goes to the Head Knights of Order for making these formulas available.

P.S. I noticed that these formulas are 400 times the normal rewards for a monster of your level. Of course with the XP/gold rewards getting doubled, this means it'd take roughly 200 monsters of your level to hit your daily caps, assuming they are the swept variety (a few monsters can't have swept XP/gold because they also appear in AQ) and they have a 3:1 XP:Gold split.

Defiler Sentry Level 96 gives 13018 xp 4200 gold,
K1773R Level 99 gives 16392 xp 5464 gold.
Then the ultimate farming.......
Dark K1773R Level 100 gives 19168 xp 5600 gold. [:D][:D][:D]

There is currently no daily experience cap for WF so you should be able to gain several levels today! [:-]

What result does that XP cap equation give for level 99 ?

It's lower relative to the number of monsters you can kill before hitting the cap, I think.

@SIGMUND: No, it is actually now *much* higher if you're at the top levels. The caps are lower at lower levels but when you achieve those higher levels the cap will be increased (comparing to the old cap).
