Angels Holocaust -> Unity (8/4/2011 11:03:30)

I've notied one thing about about all of our posts on these forums. We all have one thing in common and that's, we all loved beta and want it back. I thought that the Devs listened to the people? If so, why would they continue to ignore these issues? Most of the forums goers would actually like to remove these accursed requirements on our skills, and to make things better we can remove agility, we're getting rid of that dam gamma bot, why not revert things back to the way they were? I see no problem, and the people would actually have more than 95 hp.

bobbyhonkers -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 11:06:58)

It seems that I'm agreeing with you alot
More recently I personally was not playing
During beta but from the videos and things
I've heard about it sounds like alot more fun
And i would be all for it

Fatal Impact -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 11:16:27)

Bring back Beta, you destroyed Gamma Bot, more than 95 hp.

Thats all I heard.

Midnightsoul -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 11:24:13)

as long they keep the new classes and new moves, and they put it in beta format, im am SOOOOOOO in.

Cinderella -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 12:11:26)

Will we ever remove agility? Hard to say. We admitted it was a band-aid solution.

We're unlikely to remove stat requirements on skills.

Dendavex -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 12:13:06)

@Cinderella
I think agility should be gone. wouldnt it be like 1 step forward?

Clutch -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 12:35:14)

Down with agility, or at least raise its parameters alot higher.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 12:53:39)

Not all of us want Beta. You have to take the Gamma Players and the new Delta Players into consideration. They never experienced beta you cant just make this game like Beta so it can suit you. You dont know how the newer players will respond to it. We have to move foward beta is done. It is gone stop focusing on bringing back the past and focus on improving the future. We cant move foward if everyones head is stuck in the past. You must learn to deal with it and move foward.

@Cinderella You should really think about removing stat requirements. They are restricting builds. With less builds means no creative or original builds can be made. Why do you think everyone is using the same builds and copying each others? Because that is all thats left. Remove the requirements their destroying the game.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 13:04:03)

@Cindy i think a Formula would work better for agility then the current way but thats a down the road fix

as for going back to beta friday has a chance to change everything in ED making us use creative builds once more which will inturn lead to balance

Wiseman -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 15:48:07)

There's a good chance that agility will see some changes in the future, as for it being removed, that's not an option at this time, but who knows what the future holds.

As for things reverting back to beta, that won't happen, I'm hoping we can bring creativity back into the game without making it beta again. Don't get me wrong, I liked beta, but I just don't see any reason to bring it back, one should always try to move forward instead of backwards. Besides I don't see focus or diminishing returns being changed or removed any time soon, so it wouldn't feel like beta anyway.

That's all I have to say about this subject.

PD -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 15:48:23)

Read the Great Gatsby, Please.

Those who desire the past will be ruined by the future.

Beta has gone. It's time to move on.

Elf Priest JZaanu -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 16:44:51)

Wiseman, using deminishing returns or punishing players by devaluing their stats will not go too far. The game does know this, and many players as well. Hopefully the game implements a fair system. As this game continues to level, stat buffed weapons and enhancements will exceed cap level players where they are punished for choice (credit or varium). The balance game would not be so difficult if a better system was implemented.

The only gain from the current system is players investing into game that never can be balanced and it will cost (time or varium) a tremendous amount to compete.

The question is, will this game implement a better system where stats are evenly distributed...

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 16:49:55)

@Wiseman Lowering the value of a persons hard earned stats whether they got it from leveling up or buy using tons of credits or varuim is not a good idea. It be best if you removed such a feature. The majority of the community knows that was one of the worst balance ideas ever. Also thank you for explaining how Beta is gone and it is time to move on time for people to realize that.

beastmo -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 16:53:54)

BETA 4 LIFE <3

The Doctor -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 16:54:59)

@PD
"Experience teaches us that it is much easier to prevent an enemy from posting themselves than it is to dislodge them after they have got possession. "
-George Washington

Although it may be difficult, any problem created in the present can fixed, perhaps by undoing whatever created it in the first place.
In short, learn from the past, because you'll use it in the future.

My viewpoint on this issue is that EpicDuel has become somewhat... diminished, from what it previously was.
I do feel nostalgia towards the Beta Phase.

Thank you,
~The Doctor

Midnightsoul -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 17:59:18)

agility should be lvl scaled too or we'll be stuck with 95 hp for life!!!

voidance -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 21:01:43)

All these restrictions are here because of us, mages created heal looping, people copied it, people then complained about it, thus agility was born. Same goes for all our other restrictions, people abused attributes such as strength and support so they introduced diminishing. It's human nature to find the easiest way to do something, in this case the easiest way to win is abuse, abuse, and more abuse. So stop complaining about restrictions when we created the chaos, we created the complaints, the devs answered our complaints, and then we get frustrated when they answer our cries.

I rarely ever side with the creators but in this case we are our own downfall not them.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 21:10:57)

@void well spoken man well spoken

voidance -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 21:43:22)

Thanks.

PivotalDisorder -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 21:47:32)

Beta sounded horrible. just saying.

Midnightsoul -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 21:54:42)

@voidance

everything u said was true...

@Jehannum
are u crazy?!?! u sound horrible!!! jk, but i was noob in beta...

InceptionAE -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 22:00:46)

Everyone can blame me for a day on why agility was taken place. I made builds as a merc exceeding 200 hp. Lol, got my punishment. xD

For any of you wanting agility removed. How about increasing it's parameters as Clutch suggested. I mean +1 def/res parameters should be 0-100, and 0 def/res 111-130, and so on. Not only would this balance out the STR bounties and mages. But also the mercs, to have to think before carefully putting stat points in an unexpected place. 1 point gone ruins the entire build. With this agility update, level 34 would be a great balance. That way you can have +5 and 100 health. More balance when agility parameters are increased. It's all about the balance, Lol.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 22:03:22)

@Hunter teh average HP for a good HLTM was 140

InceptionAE -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 22:08:19)

You know that any TM/TLM can heal loop easy with agility increasing it's parameters. Losing no def/res by having 130 health with a tank build could get you 3-5 heals in 1 solo battle and 6-7 team battle (I'm estimating btw). What do you think?

Fatal Impact -> RE: Unity (8/4/2011 22:27:10)

Is it pronounced "bay tah" or "bet ah".
