I really like this new post from titan. I like to hear what is going on with the programming and this is an exciting thing he shared. Tournaments will be awesome if they come, retrain revamp is what I am hoping to see, and more robots and stuff will also be cool.

^ Agreed. Personally I want to hear from Titan not a player mod.

When a dev posts something you get the full sense of what's going down.

Ever play that game in school where a person would whisper something in anothers ear and they would go all the way around the room until the last person said the quote out loud?

Yeah came out completely different xD

actually IMO its very professional to show their work.
alot of companies or game developers dont share their work but when they are asked for info on the game they make stuff up and then fans get angry when its not ingame.

its like me saying
" i cant give u details on what we did" however in the future we will be able to blah blah blah blah"
*time passes to the future*
fans: "hey where the hell is that feature u promised.

this is something that actually happened to DC universe. they talked the talk but when it came time to back it up, they didn't have much.

Man my main concern is bracket tournys.....Think of the excitement that could come of that if done right....

I really hope it's not based on wins over time and they set up "Actual" tournament events. Gonna be friggin insane if it ever gets here.....

Mainly to DeathSpawn, but it's important to keep in mind as to the trustworthiness of the design notes I write:

I understand that it "means more" coming from Titan even when I'm saying the same thing, but the information is not going person-to-person-to-person-to-person, etc. I'm part of the main staff, I'm not "just" a mod, and Nightwraith and Titan have stated multiple times that my word is as good as theirs.

@ Deathspawn, saying that it is going to be bracket tournaments would suggest there will be some sort of segregation to the community that I guess will be based on timezones. There may be 3-4 brackets, North/South America, Asia/Australia, Western Europe and Eastern Europe (possibly just Europe).

These brackets could be even further divided by creating divisions or leagues that players could battle in. The mind boggles...

Normally, the players from each division/league will play a series of regular season games that ranks the players by win/loss records. The top players will then play in a post season final series to determine the players that will then proceed to the play offs between the respective bracket winners.

What would be interesting to know is if Titan intends the system to rank or seed players like most major sports do (golf, tennis etc..)

Just have to wait and see I guess ^_^

For the love of God, please no tournaments, the game isn't even balanced yet so why are we rewarding players with oped items in these so called " Tournaments"? Crit's are still oped, and blocks influence the game way too much. I think that we should consider tournaments after balance has been restored to the game.

@ Angels, bah at balance! We'll never all be happy anyway, it is easier to blame the game mechanics than to actually reflect on our own talent to be successful...

Don't let the negative aspects get in the way of the game advancing, if you don't want to play in tournaments due to "luck/balance" factor then that is your own choice. The game needs some of the mentioned features to move forward and while this could highlight some of the balance issues, then so be it... But let's progress and not stagnate in this attitude of "It's the developers fault" and "Please fix this"

Meh, I'm happy to see these features being mentioned again! Please don't disrupt it with an alternate agenda, some of those have greatly impacted the game already...

Time to move forward! Bring it on ;)

I thank myself for suggesting Group Chats. Lol. I'm looking forward to this release ED. I have the feeling that the fun in Beta is back. I'm hoping for returning players to see what they can do. Anyways, thank you dev's for taking your time to create some wicked features for the future. We've waited long, but worth the wait! :P

Look, even if these updates take a year to come out, I dont care about that right now. I just want it to come out and if other stuff needs addressing first such as bugs, balance, or lag reduction I am fine if they put off these new things.

Besides, they did say these are just gateways to new possibilties, not that it would get released soon or anything.

Just a thought about the bank.

If we bank gear - will it reduce lag
will the banked gear be safer (from hackers)
will the banked gear still show on character pages?
will the bank be free storage for varium items - I expect not.

This will interesting to see. :)

On Topic: Its been having less lag now, ( Better then AQW I might say ) So I hope they can go back to Items+Tournaments+Events, and possibly Balance xD
