Gee, thanks Vel. that means a lot coming from you. [:)]

Yeah...you're not the first person to say that. Desolous is...he's not good with kids.

P.S. LOL tbh, I really don't know. [>:]

Nice story you got here,it has alot of much needed info I can use for your character, though I probably should just get a small bio of your character from you, showing his personality along with a list of his powers.

Drakkoniss -> RE: (HS) Insanity's Child(Discussion) (9/26/2011 19:42:39)

Ah, the naivety... (refering to Celestin's actions as a child)

I don't find it quite so strange that someone would fail to realize real wings when he sees them... after all, in so many cases, fiction has clouded the minds of the public to reality... Many people can't even recognize the sounds of real gun shots, after movies and TV shows with gunfire have caused their minds to associate the fake noise with real thing, thus causing them to be confused by the real noise... :/

Well, if Desolus wasn't actually out shopping for fruit, but was really out there for the purposes of crime fighting, that would explain why he was there just as Celestin was confronting the robber, but the psychic powers theory is just as likely, IMO, as well.

/me is amused by the impetuousness of Celestin as a child: always interupting Desolus, ignoring what he says, ect.

Pfft... Practically an adult... idiot.

I don't know... My thought on the matter of Icecream Cake origins include Desolus hitting the kid with it telekenetically...

Oh, and to those who were wondering, I think the reason why Desolus was not showing his anger about it was that it was Celestin's birthday. It also may have to do with the fact that Celestin did not lash out violently in anger after being repetitively insulted.

Hmm... If that happens to be some sort of vission, instead of a normal dream/nightmare, I suggest the possibility of those being thousands of dead clones of you, all slaughtered in some big fight, or other large-scale calamity... Also, I have a pretty good guess as to who that girl is, but I will not say it alloud, do to my not knowing whether that information is confidential, or not.

Meh, one could argue that they aren't one and the same, either, regardless of how intricately their lives are connected...

For some reason, I have the urge to sing about having a jar of dirt, although I don't...

I wonder if dreams are different for Seraphians do to intrinsic biological differences when compared to humans, and that's why he could control his dreams so intracately...

O.o Woods...

I wonder if cookies played a part as a sort of mood lifter and rare treat every once in a while, that made your day every time you got them, and caused an uplifting happiness in your rather unhappy life (Do to Desolus' melancholic mood [Do to his exposure to malachite]), and became a fascination/obsession in your life, because the sheltered environment you were raised in providing less oportunites for enteraiment and new experiences than that of a normal child... CONJECTURE!!!

/me has now read the previous comments on this thread, and so is more informed about the previous things he had been guessing about; Nice to know that his powers were emerging every once in a while, even then, btw. Although telepathy and teleportation have been stated to be powers Desolus possesses/d, I still wonder if my earlier thoughts on him being a crime fighter are accurate, albeit I don't think that is as likely, now.

I agree with Silver Knight's assessment of the situation with Celestin's atitude and maturity level, and I am begining to like this "Silver Sky Magician" person... Very thoughtful in her commentary; although she does leave out positive praise sometimes, so can I, and I can appreciate her wont to take apart the situation bit by bit, and look into it deeply, inspecting every part of it, while questioning it all...

I have played LBP, so I do know what he's talking about. lol

Ah, memories... I love roller coasters...

Seems you've come to wonderland again, Alice, let's see just how far the Rabbit Hole goes...

The Clown with the Mohawk looks to be based on Clown...

The middle one too, albeit I could be wrong... If Clown has ever used a bald hair style, I have never seen it, though...

At least it didn't say "Welcome to Hell"...

@David: Thanks David. If you need a bio then I'd be happy to oblige.

@Drakky: Yeah.
Celestin was...different as a child.
Something tells me that that will change very soon though.....

Yes, you're correct of course but that's only partially the reason.
Celestin was only just learning how to fly at the time and his wings hadn't fully developed.
at the time they may have seem a bit too small to seem real.

I have nothing to say on the subject of Desolous...at least not yet.

Yeah...unfortunately, many children actually act like that these days.
Many people think that they're adults when they're not. It's...sad.

Yeah.that's partially the reason why Desolous didn't punish Celestin anyways.

There's not much I can say right now on the subject of Celestin's dream and the girl.
But...I can say this: that girl is/was not who you think she might be...

Well considering what happens later on in their lives and the similarities between their personalities/way of thinking
then they could be considered one and the same...

o.o Jars of dirt....gosh, now I want to sing about jars of dirt.xP

Yes, Seraphians look similar to humans in appearance but that's about it when it comes to similarities...

Well to be fair, The Shadowlands can take the form of many different landscapes/ecosystems to a person.
It just happened to take the form of a spooky forest in my mind.=P

Yeah, I never thought much of it but cookies are a very fascinating subject for both me and Celestin.
Of course I'm not nearly as fascinated by them as Celestin is but, then again, Celestin rarely ate them but when
he did, he'd love them.

Well, I suppose I could reveal something about Desolous just this once...

Even though Desolous left Kiyoshi long ago, the malachite had a lasting effect on him. Probably because of it's
chaotic nature and large size. Over time, those like Desolous become weaker and weaker and often become
emotionally unstable or worse from the effect the malachite has on them. Of course Desolous was a strong man so it
took years for him to become a slave of the malachite's eternal influence.

/me has not much to comment on Drakky's commenting of Silver Sky Magician's/Silver Knight's commentary due to
possible spoilers.xP

/e is a big fan of Alice in Wonderland.

Well..it's not really based on Clown himself. Although they might seem like people who
would join his Carnival...

Yes, Hell would've been worse but The Shadowlands weren't exactly a picnic in pixie land either.....
