Ultimate Warrior Guide

So after weeks of preparing and procrastinating :P I have finally decided to start this guide up and get the ball rolling! Warriors are personally my favorite of all three base classes from being a Tank warrior to being a Annihilator Warrior I love it all :D. I hope this guide proves useful and helpful to my warrior kin who read this and I hope this convinces some of the non warriors to think about becoming Warriors >.>

Stat Introduction/Evaluation
[LOLG001]

Stats are easily the most important thing that you will need on your journey to become the best possible warrior you can be before you used to get 3 stat points for every level but now you get 5 stat points for every level yay!. Without putting your stats in the correct areas you would get pwned very easily, but enough about that let's go over what each one does.

Strength: This stat is the most important stat that you will need on your road as a warrior don't forget to train this stat at all costs!

Intellect: This stat is completely useless to warriors seeing as how strengthens magical damage while warriors only deal melee damage don't spend any stat points on this.

Dexterity: Increases pierce damage. As a warrior putting stat points in here is useless you'll want all of your stat points focused on your Strength and maybe HP for certain builds

Endurance: This stat increases your hit points by 5 points per stat point in endurance. As a warrior, putting points into this wouldn't hurt, but you don't want to overdo it either.

Charisma: Charisma helps increase the chance of your baby dragon doing a special but also increases pet damage and some NPC interactions. This stat is absolutely necessary if you are going to the Beast Warrior build.

Luck: Affects all rolls in some way. However, it does NOT increase the chance for a rare drop. It also increases the chance of a baby dragon special. All remaining stat points should go into here. While it's not known for sure it is speculated that for every 50 points you put into LUK you get 1 Crit, so if you are going for an easy kill I would recommend training this!

Wisdom: This recently added stat increases your Magic Points, Although useless at first once you start hitting the higher levels and start unlocking the higher tier classes that suck up your magic points like a black hole this stat will be a life saver.

Where to train your stats

Now that you know which each stat does you can now go ahead and train them! you don't know where? well that is no problem because I'm going to tell you where you can train them!

There are currently two stat trainers:
Rolith- Rolith can be reached in two ways:
This is the fastest method. Go to the Griffin (or click on the Travel Button if you in Falconreach) and select ‘Oaklore’. He is the man standing in front of the tower on the right.

The second way is to start at Serenity’s Inn in Falconreach and go right until you reach Oaklore.

After you have found the trainer, you will want to click the ‘Train Stats’ button.

Sir Render- Sir Render can be found in the Town Hall in Falconreach! To reach him o to Falconreach's starting screen go down once and enter the first building at your right!

After you have found the trainer, you will want to click the ‘Train Stats’ button.

This will bring you up to a screen where you can put your stats wherever you please.

However, training stats isn’t free! It costs gold which can be earned through quests and selling quest rewards.

(formula: level* 5= price of training)

So this means that if you are level 10, the cost of training 1 points is equal to 10 * 5 = 50 gold per stat point.

Warrior Sub-Builds
[LOLG003]

Seeing as how there are many ways that you could customize your character I'm just going to describe the kind of warriors that are most commonly found now that doesn't mean that you have to pick one of the ones that I listed because in the end it's your choice on what you stats you want to focus on :D
[LOLG101]

Pure Warrior: These guys are the most common kind of warriors that you find, They are generally well rounded such as having a decent amount of STR,END, and WIS . At first it seems like they are the same as the Annihilator build, but there are some differences.
[LOLG102]

Beast Warriors: These types of warriors focus greatly on relying on their pets/guests for assistance and if you are going to go for this kind of build I would highly recommend maxing out your CHA stat seeing as how that will maximize the damage done by pets/guests giving you the advantage in a fight.
[LOLG103]

Tank Warriors: Time to bring out the big guns [:D] Tank warriors are warriors meant to take a beating as well as dish out a beating they have tons of HP and MP and are equipped to last a long battle. If you are going for this build it is recommended to train your END and STR.
[LOLG104]

Annihilator Warrior: These guys are the bosses of killing their opponents in as little rounds as possible. Annihilator warriors usually have their STR and LUK trained to the max so that they can dish out as much damage as possible and pick equipment that will help them accomplish their goal definitely max out your STR and put the remaining stats into LUK if you are going for this build.

Stat Set-Ups
[LOLG004]

Now we get to the important part here I am going to do a set up for every 10 levels now as you may know you get 5 stat points for every level(except for level 1) so at the current max it would equal 345 at lvl 70.

Weapons
[LOLG005]

Weapons.... ah weapons! They sure are great :D There are tons of weapons in DF ranging from something as silly as a fish blade all the way to being as serious and cool looking as the Ultimate Brand of Glory! Whatever you're preference is you are going to be needing some weapons to help defend yourself against the forces of evil that threaten you and others! Being a warrior it is very important that you focus on swords/axes since staves and daggers aren't going to cut it for a warrior. I've decided to break this section up into fifteen different parts one for every element and I broke it up to every ten levels to make it easier to understand. With all of the explanations out of the way it's time to go ahead and dive into the many different elements and their best weapons :D

CLASSES
[LOLG006]

What would Dragonfable be without it's wide assortment of classes! No not like going to school classes, but classes like different armor with different abilities. Starting from the base class of warrior all the way to the almighty (and devastating) power of the Doomknights! In this section I'll tell you where and how to get the many different classes and how to really maximize the full power of each class!

The ErosionSeeker -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/22/2011 17:46:53)

the last part of the first section is incorrect, there is no level-soft cap on trained stats. the hard cap of 200 is all that matters.

TwinBlade. -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/22/2011 17:57:23)

Well I know that this part is incorrect

quote:

So if you are level 10, the most points you can have in a single stat is 10.

At level 10 I already had all 50 stat points in it.
Otherwise, this is a well thought out guide. And once it is finished, it should be quite helpful! Good job

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/22/2011 19:29:22)

thanks for the heads up I'll be sure to fix that!

Baron Dante -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/22/2011 22:27:57)

For Annihilator, it could be mentioned that STR is maxed, and all leftovers go to LUK ;)

Zane -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/22/2011 22:31:57)

quote:

Luck: Affects all rolls in some way. However, it does NOT increase the chance for a rare drop. It also increases the chance of a baby dragon special. All remaining stat points should go into here. While it's not known for sure it is speculated that for every 50 points you put into LUK you get 1 Crit, so if you are going for an easy kill I would recommend training this!

Wait. Are you supposed to SEE the Luck bonus?

Also, does it boost your defenses as well?
._.

Baron Dante -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 2:39:26)

Nope, the boost is invisible.

And it's a common thing to see discussion of wether LUK is 20 or 50. -.-

And yes, it increases Dodge as well.

Zane -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 2:59:15)

@Baron

If it was 20, then our stats would be god-like.

Like...10 Crit Boost with 200 Luck? .-.

The ErosionSeeker -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 16:50:40)

at L70 that's 350 points.

surely 150 in LUK is excessive, right?

an ahniahlator should be 200 STR 50 END 50 WIS 50 LUK. you can't vaporize people if you can't survive long enough to do it.

King Desoato -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 17:11:54)

Erosion, actually only 345 stat points. You don't get any stat points for level 1.

Baron Dante -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 17:15:36)

@Zane: Even at level 70, STR is still better than having that extra crit.

@Erosion: Potions and healing spots make sure you will never run out of mana nor END, and an annihilator is exactly that, pure offense.

liamliam1234liam -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/23/2011 22:06:40)

WIS seems kind-of useless for warriors. 25 WIS and you should be set, the mana costs are insanely low.

Also, NEVER max out CHA. 50 CHA and 200 STR. Then, you can add the rest into CHA/END/LUK/WIS. Not even beast masters really need more than 150, and STR is automatically more important until you have 150. Then, you can get 50 CHA, and back to maxing out STR.

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (8/24/2011 9:49:50)

working on the stat set up at the moment sorry it's taking me so long to update this guide pretty busy with some things IRL so please "bear"with me [:D]

killer34 -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/2/2011 19:03:52)

Can someone put a elements weapons guide for warriors?

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/4/2011 9:14:28)

Sorry for the giant postponement of the guide everyone since the hurricane and earthquake happened my activity dropped, but now I am able to work on this guide again will work on Stats and more tomorrow!

Dracojan -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/4/2011 15:56:46)

although many say that luk gives dodge, it doesnt. ive reported it in the bug section. as of now it doesnt add defence.

for beast warrior maxing cha and all else to end is pretty strong, but it is important to have a pet and 2 guests. the end helps u survive longer. and u should use deff abilities and leave the pet and the guests do the main dmg. with 200 cha, 2 guests and a pet do a total of +27 bonus dmg. its better than str in this case.

it would be nice to list the melee weapons in there. like swords, axes, maces. please include scythes as well and explain the thing about the highest stat. oh and the bug with dex and int. :D
list the dmg penalties when using pierce and magic weapons. and that when using scythes, no matter what dmg type u do,there are no penalties.

nice guide btw :D

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/5/2011 9:28:55)

Alrighty finished putting up the stats I tried to use what you guys said and kinda scale it for each 10 lvls If I messed up somewhere please point it out and I'll be sure to get to it. I'll work on the weapons later today

MrLustiggy -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/5/2011 11:11:32)

Hey i like your guide
it looks a lot better then mine XD

but where did you get the template for it?
because i need it for my ultimate rogue guide

liamliam1234liam -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/5/2011 11:44:49)

A couple things...
1. Warriors should ALWAYS have 200 STR. Therefore, the stats of STR and END in the Tank Warrior section should be reversed.
2. LUK is kind-of useless, at least in small quantities. In your Pure Warrior build, I recommend you put it into something else. Not sure what, but... CHA, maybe? More END? WIS is not particularly important, so that is probably fine...

Delgadoss -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/5/2011 15:45:32)

quote:

although many say that luk gives dodge, it doesnt. ive reported it in the bug section. as of now it doesnt add defence.

It's mostly that it gives a meaningless amount of Dodge/Parry/Block. It does allow you to make your opponent miss more often though, by 1% for every 50 points in LUK.

quote:

with 200 cha, 2 guests and a pet do a total of +27 bonus dmg. its better than str in this case.

Well it heavily depends on the amount of times both guests and pet hit, compared to your own character. With 200 CHA a pet gets +10 damage per hit and a guest, +5. With 200 STR I think you get +23 damage per hit.

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/9/2011 15:41:17)

Ok I fixed up some of the stat,so I think they should be fine now anything else? want to make sure everything is fine before moving to weapons.

@MegaKiller I kinda took a little from this thread and this thread

HellsWolf666 -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/10/2011 13:24:19)

its realy hard to read the stats
try to write it as

Lvl:
Int/Str/Dex:
Wis:
End:
Luck:
Char:

it will make it more easy to see-and more easy to approve(belive me-i got an approved guide)
and try to add your own side notes:it helps ppl to understand your point-and cuz some of them got jokes(like my)

well good luck with your guide(the first guide is the hardest)-i have to wait to the EnTropy class release to finish my=im building the frame and adding a few links so i will have something to start with

Dracojan -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/14/2011 20:02:33)

quote:

How Are Damage Bonuses calculated:
Damage bonuses (for magic damage) are added to the initial damage of the weapon as a flat amount, equal to the maximum of (Strength/2) and (Max Weapon Damage/5).

A Damage Calculation Example
You are using a weapon dealing 5 to 20 damage and your Strength is 16. Your base Melee damage bonus is 8 (16/2), but the weapon cap is 20% * max damage = +4. Therefore, when you wield this weapon, it deals 9 (5+4) to 24 (20+4) damage the bonus that you give to the weapon can’t go over weapons max damage (4 in this case)!

this is all outdated. remove it :D

chisagen -> RE: Ultimate Warrior Guide: Everything you need to know about warriors from A-Z! (9/23/2011 15:31:40)

@HellsWolf I'll update the format a little later once I near completion

@Dracojan deleted!
