Maybe you could add a 'Remember Me' button to the login screen? Putting in my login credentials every time is annoying...

Just tossing out ideas here, but are you sure that cookies are enabled in your browser's settings and that any other settings that could possibly be unconducive to the saving of cookies are disabled?

Solutions:

1) do not clear cookies/clear them manually one by one avoiding AQ's forum one
2) ADVANCED METHOD find AQ's forum cookie (it contains only the login and password) and make it overwrittable only by administrator account, then run preferred browser from user account. Browser will not have the required permissions for this one cookie and all except AQ's forum one will be cleared (found it myself from scratch).
