Hello forum people
I've played Epic duel for a very long time now and I'm kind of upset that the beta weapons have lost their effectiveness by now..
I'd like to hear other Beta-Testers opinions about that (:

solution to the problem: skins: weaps/armor/bikes/bots equiped as skin, show as your gear, while the equipped gear's stats/power count in battle, just not it looks

I think skins are a real bad idea as this would turn out like AQW where people just farm for different looks but everybody is dishing out the same damage, making for a real boring game :S

If you have your beta weps fully enhanced, they are still very useful - don't give up!

no, the gear that's equipped right now would still be equipped, it just wouldn't show up, the effectiveness of weapons would not show

They are not getting buffed, I know that for a fact. Wiseman made it quite clear that they gonna keep them as is because the are a big part of the balance issue and while removing them would be unfair, allowing them to get outdated is not only smart but also fair because the players get to keep these weapons.

Beta weps is still best or good in some builds (ex:Beta Bazooka is one of the best aux for str TLM and Beta Blaster is best for supp builds) , In my opinion there should be upgraded versions of these weps like

30 lvl Founder with +8 res

30 Lvl Betas with +30/31 dmg

I got them full enhanced and I kind of get the feeling that they're not as effective as the delta weapons but I could be mistaken there

Because the Delta Weapons are higher in damage, plus having the curse effect ;)

I know i cannot really talk as i was not in the game for Beta times, but i do know a little of Beta weapons.

They should make a level 32 version. With stat and damage buff. If they don't do that. Just beg them for curse of 5% or something..

I think that the stats for the beta wepons are quite fine as they are, and in fact have stats that rival many top lvl weps, but as for power, they most certainly need a buff(especially since they were promised to be one of the best weps in the game).

So here's my idea here

Make it so they are a lvl 30 weapon, this makes it so lvl 25 is the lowest requirement (so lvl 25ers who havnt been on in a while are still happy) and just bump those puppies damage up 5 points, making them 33 damage for max damage, and keeping the 28 damage for lvl 25ers. Sounds great to me, but I could grudgingly stand to make it so they only do 32 damage max, and possibly one more for a seriously begrudging 31 damage.

However I would like to point out how they are infact a rare weapon that wont be let out again, have no special abilites to go with them(as pointedly scene in delta weps), and would be below the the 34 mark once the lvl cap is risen to accomadate them. But in the even that there is no lvl cap raise, as I said, I could accept a total boost to having a standard aattck be 32 instead of 33

I don't got the beta weps, but I don't think it will be wise, since in the future, they will ask for gamma bot and the other delta weps to be buffed just like beta weps, and this will start just like founders asking for buff. We should avoid this for a better future. Thanks[:)]

Beta weapons are fine they are at par with a lot of the varium gear and they have a lot of enhancement slots i am using both my beta bazzoka and my beta brutilizer and im still getting above 80% win rate.

we need to buff:
Alpha weapons
Beta weapons
FOUNDER ARMOR. just the resistance to like 10. or give us a physical one too. Both fully enhanced, of course[:D]

You have to realize that the Beta weapons had their time. They were, for a LONG time, the best weapons in the game. As the level cap went up, they became weaker and weaker, until they became obsolete. The delta gear will experience the same problem. The founder armor is a great example. We now have non varium armors with the same resistance amount. Now, I think we should buff founder, beta, and alpha gear because it was the original of all the items. They came first, and us founders, and elites/alpha testers, and betas, we payed first. First come, first serve. The same rule applies in an LQS. So, I think that's why we should buff them. As someone said something about the gamma bot, it lost it's advantage after the bot nerf. Now, it's not really that great, because you do the same damage with the assault bot, and the assault bot has a anti-debuff effect.

I hope you are aware they probably won't be buffed. That's just the way the cookie crumbles

When beta and founder was buffed this last time it was because of two reasons: 1. The founder stats where changed on Mage because of the fact that it's one armor type now. 2. To compensate for these changes they buffed both slightly, and I suspect that will be the last buff those items will ever receive. I also suspect that after the seasonal rares have re-looped no more rare/promo items will be buffed at all, we want to preserve balance not make it worse, so keeping weapons stated to their levels is absolutely necessary.

You may not like it, but those are the facts.


The Beta Weapons/Founder Armor have not lost their effectiveness. They are very effective at their level (25) and you can't expect to keep on using them with the same level of effectiveness when you're level 33. You also can't expect to purchase something once and expect to use it effectively forever.

After the next level cap, I think it's reasonable for all armors and weapons to gain +1 on dmg/res/def for every 3 levels. It keeps old weapons in sync with the new weapons. It is not necessary atm, but it would be cool if we got it later on.

The reason we, who own beta weps, are even asking for a buff to the beta weps is not because we are some founder wanting to hold onto former glory, but because we were ACTUALLY promised that beta weps would remain some of the top tiered wepons in the game, and quite frankly the power deficet that they have is all that stops it from doing so, THE STATS ARE FINE, it is the power that needs a buff, and we're not talking about something out of the ordinary, just make it to have 31, but preferably 32 base damage before buffed from str, that's all

The Beta Weapons were promised to be the best weapons in the game at the time of the promotion, and for their level. They still are the best weapons for any level 25. With 20 stat modifiers, they even have more than the Celtic Clover Staff, a level 32 non-varium staff. Not to mention they have 10 enhancement slots and no stat requirements.

P.S: Sorry for the link leading to an other forum, but I'd like people to see the comments and feedback associated with this idea of mine as well.

This idea means that they don't need to be buffed although I'm aware that it may cause an influx of overpowered mid-level players. That may or may not be a good thing depending on how you look at it. It means that there would be more competitiveness at mid-levels, you would have a higher chance of getting a good partner, it means that the beta weapons and founder items will never be 'forgotten' weapons, this idea would encourage more players to purchase varium for their alts and obviously, it would mean that these items would not require a buff. I suggest making the beta weapons 'ultra-rare' so that only ultra-rares can be used by your alternate characters. Founder armor, the alpha weapons and beta weapons will be the ONLY ultra-rares in the game and the other promotional items' rarity will never be changed. This is to stop people from pleading for weapons such as the gamma and delta weapons to become ultra-rares.

I have the beta weapons by the way, and this is my opinion regarding this matter.

It isn't really constructive for everyone to get on these forums and say

"BUFF THIS" or "BUFF THAT"

When THIS or THAT is exactly what that person paid Varium for. (Or their only rare and/or high lvl weapons)

Can there please be some level of standardization for item power/stats based on the item's level, Varium cost and rarity?

Can we end the random buffing?

if beta weapons won't be scaled to level 31 to 33, at least it should be allowed to be sold like the delta weapons. outdated beta weapons waste space in the inventory

If people are wanting to berid themselves of bad beta weapons, we should be able to convert them into credits, varium, or battle tokens.

heres the thing tho they were beta weapons and at the time they came out the lvl cap was 30 so yea.
i still see people use them. not a lot but yea.
the best thing to do is to just buy delta weps. because if they buff up beta weps then that mean those ppl might not buy delta weps and no money for ED
and plus if you think about it, lvl cap rises, more promo stuff comes out, beta weapons soon obsolete, delta weapons start 2 die out.
it would be better if like promo weapons you could hand down to another character on your account so they would still be useable
