hmm extra 1 slot eh so wat bout this gun here clicky yes it is a seasonal non varium gun but guess what it has only 4 slot oh 4 slots is a lot lolz hyper talon has 4 slots, spec ops gun has 4 slots if the devs do not intend to buff anymore seasonal rares, i would say the dread cannon is a useless and unusable seasonal rare gun.

I know there are a lot of weapons that don't follow the new enhancement numbers, and those may be adjusted in the future, but we can only add enhancements to weapons that are missing them at the moment. Removing enhancement slots from equipment is a complicated process, so items with too many enhancements probably will remain that way.

Stabilis -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 11:38:21)

I like the draconic devastator, you don't really need the destroyer, IF you have a delta primary.

These energy blades for my cyber hunter are rockin'.

edwardvulture -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 11:52:17)

Standarizing enhancements? If balance was really a priority then an Ultra-rare would have 5 slots, a promotional would have 4 slots, and a seasonal would have 3 slots, and normal weapons would have 2 slots. Enhancements were originally introduced so that "they could keep rare weapons in use" They are the root of stat spamming and all future weapons should have drastically lower enhancements. I hated them ever since they became a requirement to win. You should have a decent chance even without your weapons enhanced. The difference between enhanced rares and non-enhanced rares is like 26 stats. That's like a 6 or 7 level boost in stats. Thats not balanced at all.

Illuminator -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 14:01:56)

@edwardvulture: The standards make weapons range from 5 to 10 enhancements because removing enhancement slots from weapons isn't really possible because people have already paid for them. I'm not sure that refunding the varium and credits spent on the enhancement slots lost would be possible.

edwardvulture -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 14:04:45)

^I meant for future weapons

Anyways I want to find out if it was intientional that credit enhancements don't have any sort of refund.

DeathGuard -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 14:11:16)

Why does Graphite gun has one more enchancement slot than Backpackzooka? Is this is a bug or something?

Wiseman -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 14:28:51)

@edwardvulture: Illuminator is correct, it is impossible to remove enhancements after they have already been added. We standardized enhancements from 5-10 because it keeps the gap from being too large, this way the difference between Credit & Varium weapons would cap at a certain point, and it's a solid gap not a figurative one. Keep in mind that most of the time that gap wont be that high, but at least you know what to expect enhancement wise, and can prepare for it ahead of time.

@cyberbakio ryugan: No, it probably isn't a bug, since those weapons where released before the standard was put in place. Old weapons followed no set standard, so the balance of them is usually messed up. However we probably wont change any of them unless there's a really important reason to do so, it's best to let them stay how they are currently, and just apply the new standard to future items that are released.

DeathGuard -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:06:11)

Wiseman: Thanks for clarifying that to me [:)]

edwardvulture -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:11:35)

I still havn't got my question answered yet. Was it intentional that there is no sell back for credit enhancements?

Basicball -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:15:58)

erm ... they do, edward

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:28:03)

BB my two slot CarrierZooka is worth as much as a normal CarrierZooka well last time i checked which was when i made the video

Basicball -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:34:11)

then it's a bug, and should be reported

P.S.: OWA made a new EDMU video about the latest 3 updates, from free to play players eyes

Lord Nub -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:35:07)

Yeah lets also not forget that if they remove enhancements we MUST have the option of full sellback as many of us would NOT have purchased the item in the first place.

Basicball -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:38:05)

^WM stated somewhere (i think) that they will never remove enhancements

DunkThatOreo -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 15:57:06)

Hm the devastator claws look pretty awesome

sleddyboy3 -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 16:01:32)

Hmm..I'm going to sell my fully enhanced Frostbane for one of the new items..It's not like I really play this game :P

Elf Priest JZaanu -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/4/2011 16:51:09)

Enhancements have should have no place in this game as it formed now. If every person who varium enhanced their weapons, they could have bought every house available (and then some) in this game and received their achievement, and could have possibly seen more advancement in that only community element in this game.

This game doesn't trust it's players to support any other aspect beyond pvp it seems to me. And uniquely enough, the how many players don't trust the game in creating community features beyond pvp either.

Having a potential of max +40(armor, primary, side arm, aux) enhancements does actually what for the game? Imagine how much investment would be in credits or varium for items that will be eventually outdated sooner or later.

Is the game playing it safe with what works in revenue in class change, weapons and enhancements?

l Chop Suey l -> RE: =ED= Design Notes August 30th - A Draconic Design Notes (9/5/2011 0:17:54)

draconic destroyer=bad red version

draconic devastator=good blue version
