This question has been answered several times.
Yes, we allow the birthday to be put in your profile. But actively advertising your age on the forums is not advisable. Most people will not seek out your date of birth by going into your profile. Profiles are not viewed by everyone and takes effort to seek out. That may sound ridiculous, but you would be surprised.
But the thread... that is viewed by a large group of people. Being casual with your age is an advertisement in itself. We must do what we can to protect people who post. Public announcements of personal information, including your age, is just not something we want our forum members to do.
