PD -> RE: The Effects of Player Environment (9/6/2011 20:17:33)

@Wiseman: If what you say is correct, then that's more of a cause and effect rather than the Developers being responsible for the problems WE complain about (Saying this again as people are believing that I mean every problem, which is far from the truth), that's saying that the developers actually listen to us. I don't see how it can possibly be their fault when they're being told to do it at the point of the gun (not literally, but metaphorically). If anything, it sounds like pure reluctance to fulfill the actions of the players. And if it's something that they could not see, it's not their fault in entirety. The Features themselves are actually fine. If anything, the things that made features terrible were the setups and inequality that preceded the feature itself. And also, fame was NOT created for an alternative purpose to battling. That was the actual use of fame rather than the intended use. While it is true that the other players (including I had no idea of the consequences of demanding powerful stuff), it's not rocket scientist knowledge to know that this world is propelled by "eternal growth". @Sinastar: I made a whole, entire paragraph about why I despise weekly releases. But saying I don't is a lie because I've explained the reason why I do not like the weekly releases that we have now. And also, your last sentence made no grammatical sense. If you could correct it so I could understand, that'd be great. @Oreo: That had nothing to do with this at all. There is no phrase, paragraph, nor sentence that says that I'm telling the staff what to do. Read properly because if you had actually read the paragraph, you would've clearly seen that I have in no manner whatsoever told the Devs to do anything. This is about the Effects of the Player Environment. NOT spitting at the devs for their set of mistakes. @ryugan: I do not say that I've excluded myself. I am just as guilty as everyone else really. And you can do more than just stand there and say stuff. To think you can't is outright ridiculous. I do not say that I'm better than other people. Not once, not twice, not ever. Stop twisting my words. And your opinion is your opinion, not the truth of whether this post is not important or not. But if you really wanted to know what I have done, I have given the Devs a few pm's about Balance. But that's about it. This is my privilege to show my work opinion. It has no inherent elitism. And Also, everything else you talked about was covered in the OP. I even explicitly said "You cannot exceed your environment". Sorry that I didn't respond via pm, but I'd rather not. To address other posts, yes, this is a re-hash. I've said so and warned you. I've also said not everyone is responsible. This also means not everyone is influenced by their environment. And those who aren't... realize the troubles that the environment cajoles us to do.
