The Hounds of God

Tale of the King's Inquisition

Nasuverse meets Warhammer 40k set in Dragonfable.

This is based from my character's back story (the one I submitted in the back story contest) and will center around Jeanne D'Arc and her time in the Inquisition.

Comments and criticism are greatly appreciated.

~LK

Ahh marvelous, I was just going to suggest that you made one, I'll read it sometime soon, but tell me, does ith as that feeling of being just a bunch of info put together, or it's it a proper tale?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/21/2011 23:44:08)

Check it to find out.

I'll be updating this from time to time while I'm busy with my Blood and Sand comic. The latter is tedious and costly, but with this I can just write my mind out and even expand on my character without having to make another comic.

Ahh marvellous, your style is perfect, but, and I ask this to every other people, will you include other's forumites characters?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/22/2011 0:47:54)

PURGE THE TYPOS! @Mortarion: Im not sure but the events in this story happen prior to the "A Hero is Bored" quest. Specifically, it is a year after Slugwrath's reign ended and where Alteon is crowned king. It is also the time where fanatical loyalists emerged who started deifying him and founded the inquisition to protect his image. If you want to join, refer to your character's backstory and past.

Now, I am not sure how you want to tell your story.

Sir Vice barely listened to his words, who is by now on the verge of collapse. His fellow knight held him up straight and made him sit to catch some air.

Most of the verbs imply past tense, but I'm not quite sure.

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/22/2011 6:01:05)

It's supposed to be in past tense.

Thanks by the way.

Found another batch of inconsistent tenses.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/22/2011 10:56:16)

Well my character, Mortarion was enslaved by an evil primce in line with Slugwrath who's name is Malorums, who then shifted his loyalties to the Shadowscythe, and he escaped from his grasp at the age of 16-17, does that works for you, oh also he has a pair of chains, like I already told you, but what I didn't told you is that a demonic spirit wqas used to bind it in place to my character, could that make him appear somewere?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 0:10:54)

New updates!

Glais -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 3:04:10)

First off, your avvy is BEAST...the adopt us one.
On topic, that was a nice read. I expected Jeanne to just execute Sir Vice and be one of those boring "I KILL ALL" characters. You took the more likable and creative path which made the overall story MUCH more interesting.

aizenv3 -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 11:12:38)

I agree with what Glaisaurus says. Pure genius lordkaho

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 12:44:47)

Sepulchure is a lot harder to bring down for Jeanne than he was for Drakath .... interesting.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) The Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 21:31:27)

Hey Kaho, appart from saying that your newest chapter wasa wesome, I wanted to ask you, would Jeanne consider Mortarion an heretic?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 21:35:13)

@DD: This was Sepulchure in his prime, and the team underestimated on how hard it would take to kill a DmK. The party was ill equipped and though if Jeanne taken heed of Sir Vice's pleas, they would still be executed for cowardice and suspicion of treachery. They were doomed from the start.

Care to answer this Kaho, please and nice sigg

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 21:51:30)

@Mortarion: Jeanne is extremely judgmental of a person's look, so yes, she wouldn't think twice of killing him. But Mortarion could get into Noir's good side.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 21:54:01)

How?, and lol, by looking like an ex slave that carries a torture device attached to his back?, also would you like that Jeanne appears in my history?, it's my wya to say, and it's also aizen's way, to thank you for making Mortarion

aizenv3 -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:01:11)

@Mort

Actually, the idea of Jeanne in my story happened before I asked her to draw Vladimir lol

And you Say Sepulchure was in his prime lordkaho? I forget but why your party stumbled on him/vice versa ?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:12:36)

@Mortarion

A righteous man looks righteous. His appearance reflects his intentions. i.e. Jeanne follows the "Judge the book by its cover" to the extreme, and that is merely an understatement.

I think I'll pass, Mort. I have way too many things to look upon.

@Aizen

It was the time where Sepulchure's powers were fresh, unconstrained and chaotic at its most peak. Also, the Inquisition knows all. They were the first ones to know of Sepulchure's rebellion against Alteon.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:20:27)

*is sad* What things?, and why is Noir different, and how is Mortarion responsible for his appearance, he was tortured near death too many times, and plus even the worst scum can look like a righteous man, for example most espies of Sepulchure looked like if they were noble warriors, like Captain Hugo, or a thief could dress like a priest, who are righteous man, to steal from the priests, thus I have bested Jeanne

aizenv3 -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:25:02)

Hmm...a freshly turned DmK Sepulchure. If Vladimir had his powers still, he would have enjoyed a rumble like that

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:34:31)

@Mortarion: That's just her logic. If you look like a monster, you die like a monster. Noir's description is in my gallery, read it. I'm sure she's the only one who can sympathize with Mortarion.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:37:07)

Yeah I readed it, and you mean she'd sympathize with Mortarion because they are both social outcasts?, and eoudn't that god hand or however it's called do an insta-kill on Seppy?

lordkaho -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:48:23)

@Mortarion: well yes. That and when it comes to attitude, she's far kinder than any inquisitor. And yes. God Arm will kill Seppy, but Noir wont be "around" during the time he becomes a DmK. I'll keep quiet now as I'm already spoiling the plot.

Mortarion -> RE: (DF) THe Hounds of God- Discussion (9/24/2011 22:52:51)

ahhhh, and do you realise that jeanne logic has a realy big and serious flaw, I mean a soy if SEPPY could disguise himself as a priest and Jeanne would think he is innocent
