A Dreamer -> =VERSE= Anyone else feel relaxed by writing poems? (10/4/2011 19:08:56) I write the stupidest poems, but it always calms me down after a stressful or enraging thing happens to me. Anyone else? Or is it just me?

(10/4/2011 21:12:12) yeah, writing poems is relaxing because, for me, it's much more of an intuitive thing than prose, which is much a more labor-intensive and particular activity when i attempt it. i do try to be at least a little intellectually rigorous in my poetry, but ultimately the flow has to come from someplace primal

Sometimes the need to write is trigger by a cool phrase I heard during the day or a situation I saw during the day. Other times, I just feel like I need to let things out. As result, I'm usually more relaxed after I write poetry.
