It would be helpful if you put up a format of application.

I can procure one and PM it to you should you require one.

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/1/2013 12:16:39)

I have included the format.

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/1/2013 12:26:53)

In your thread? Where? :S

I mean like,

Name of Game:
Host/Co-Host:
Total Spots:
Date of Creation:
Achievements/Accolades:

A format of application.

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/1/2013 12:34:28)

The format's in the last message where I asked for help. D:

Guess I'm gonna put the format in the thread as well.

PBlades -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/4/2013 12:34:58)

Say, do you guys prefer to play as villians, vampires or escaped prisoners? I'm thinking of a game along the same vein as Ell's own excellent M&S. I'm feeling like flexing my creative muscles.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/4/2013 12:56:22)

The Vs, Evil Vampires, are just plain awesome.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/4/2013 14:47:52)

Let's go with Villains and Vampires, cause I never played a Prisoner game. But it all depends on what's its about really. So, what do you have in mind?

Heroic Necro -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/4/2013 17:34:00)

I vote for Not Vampires

1girlhousefan -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/6/2013 13:23:10)

Lol, I spent like, five minutes wondering where my game went...

Reaper Sigma -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/6/2013 21:30:59)

A bit belated, but congrats to the GotM title! I guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on the competition, [;)].

Also didn't think I'd tie with From Shattered Light again. Then again, I did vote for it, so, yeah.

Superemo -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/7/2013 3:30:11)

I've been… busy recently. Lots of moving, with limited, phone-based internet access. My activity should increase soon, though, so no need to worry overly much.

WA -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/8/2013 22:59:48)

I'm going to be away for a day or two.

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/11/2013 0:06:01)

Would you guys be interested in a futuristic Crysis kind of a game where you are suited super-soldiers trying to claim a destroyed Earth back from an invading Alien race and a Rogue Military?

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/11/2013 0:51:36)

Won't be posting for a week due to exams.

DA Holder67 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/11/2013 22:18:07)

@Arthur: I would.

I am alive and plan on being more active. I'm haven't been feeling that great about life lately and being creative usually helps. I'm thinking airship pirates.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 14:24:04)

So, my fellow UCaGers... Opinions on a sort of UCaG Academy thing for RPers/PAMers transiting to A&Rs? Telling someone how something works and showing them are two different things, so I figured that would be a good idea. Wasn't there an FSG game meant to ease people into understanding FSGs?

On a side-note, what are your guys opinions on making the UCaG Classroom thing a massive-joint project? Like, someone's in charge of the teaching and the outside-classroom stuff, but each room is ran by the person that created the A&R/FSG its based on?

Chesset -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 14:27:54)

Well, I wouldn't be opposed to that idea, but don't make the whole thing remade like they did in the rp forums. I would think one or two starting games, maybe in a seperate section, would be nice. Don't know about the whole classroom thing though.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 14:32:02)

That might work.

WA -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 18:37:12)

For the game I'm working on (the one based on Inquisition), I'm having trouble cutting down the playable character list. It's going to have a bunch of set classes that you can be. I don't have enough to be comfortable making a thread for it now, so if you guys could help me take out a few roles from this, I'd like to get it to around 7 or 8. Keep in mind, I'd like to keep it balanced, so I'd like to try to eliminate around 1 or 2 characters from each group.

Knight: A melee warrior focused on typical knightly things, like honor, slaying dragons, saving princesses...
Barbarian: A brutish melee warrior. He is much more self interested than the Knight
Berserker: Another melee warrior. Typical lightly armored berserking stereotype.

Wizard: A magic wielder focused on a very orderly type of magic. Like a D&D type wizard.
Sorcerer: Also a magic wielder, but his magic is less orderly. He deals more with forces and elements.
Mystic: A magic wielder focused on mental magic.
Beastmaster: You know what a beastmaster is.

Archer: A living-off-the-land, forest dwelling type of ranger.
Thief: Pickpocket, robbery, burglary, that sort of thing.
Assassin: The kind that is likely to sneak into someone's house, waiting in the shadows.
Tinkerer: Not quite steampunk level of technology, but that sort of thing. Makes gadgets and stuff.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 18:57:29)

Minus: Beserker, Beast master and Assassin. Also give the Barbarian some beserker abilities but not all of them. Make the assassin a subclass of the Thief and the Thief to be renamed to be Rogue. That is all of the suggestions I have.

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 19:02:04)

Combine thief and assassin. That should go without saying.
Combine barbarian and berserker; again, another pretty obvious fix.
Cut out wizard. Alternatively, you could cut out the sorcerer, but I think sorcerer adds variation to the category.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 19:03:55)

The wizard should be kept because any fantasy game needs to have wizards.

liamliam1234liam -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 19:06:19)

That is godawful logic.

If you actually think it matters, though, WA, get rid of wizard and rename sorcerer wizard.

Lord Darkblade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 19:10:54)

Sorcerers and Wizards are required, in my opinion you need both the orderly magic and the chaotic magic.

DA Holder67 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (1/12/2013 21:13:08)

Deal with the fighters and rogues like liam said, and cut beastmaster. Beastmasters always seem to turn out weird logically.
Also, what do you guys want me to do with my airship thing? I can't decide between doing a fsg with a big story and a a&r with a smaller story. For the setting I wanted to combine steampunk and cyberpunk, with some magitech thrown in there for good measure.
