Fay Beeee -> The Food Chain (10/14/2011 9:09:14)

well how I see it now :)

Feel free to add your list 1-6 on your perception of how they are atm.

1st Still in the lead - Strength Tact Merc
2nd Rising fast - Blood Mage (not sure about the build)
3rd Rising fast - Cyber Hunter (some good builds out there)
4th A bit stagnant - Bounty Hunters (just my view of it)
5th Struggling a bit - Merc
6th Sinking - Mage

No flaming or trolling. This is my opinion only - what is yours :)

No offence to anyone.

ScarletReaper -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 9:26:42)

1. Strength tac merc
2. tank tac merc
3. cyber hunter
4. bounty hunter
5. tech mage
6. mercenary

T.600 -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 9:27:51)

1. (Strength) Tac Mercs- they still have a great skillset, and the strength builds are almost unstoppable. You can heal a decent amount, have decent defences, regain energy at the courtesy of reroute and you can dish out high damage while doing all that.

2. Bounty Hunters- Strength builds should be better now, and with bloodlust, shadow arts, some EMP and a decent heal, a strength build might be plausible.

3. Cyber Hunters- To be a good CH, you just need a creative build and you could probably even create a heal loop build if you put your mind to it. They still lack one passive though, and that leaves them at a disadvantage.

4. Blood Mages- As you said, they are rising fast and both strength and tank builds are 'decent'. They are outclassed by the other classes I stated above, but they do have some great combinations (bloodlust+bezerker), so they are a class with potential but I think that they need a slight buff, or the other classes should be nerfed a bit.

5. Tech Mages- The field medic nerf really hurt them. It made support builds less effective, and now mages are struggling.

6. Mercenaries- They have been subject to most of the nerfs which were aimed at the other classes, and right now, they seem like the forgotten class. They are still effective at the lower levels though.

Midnightsoul -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 9:38:31)

I'm confused
You mean Blood Mage right? Since BM is really strong. I'm sure many people will go for BM right after they change TLM when they see it in action.

1/ STR TLM: Still strong, can deal high damage and stand late game with Heal loop. They are very effective with ridiculous random effect (Heal, Block, 1st turn, Crit...1 step away to win)
2/ Tank TLM: Getting more common as alternative for old build but no STR equipment. They are made to deal with BH mostly
3/ STR BM: Getting more common than it was because of its very flexible Element attack and high damage, good win rate. They are super fast with super high win rate. I'm sure they will be considered as OP soon. Just odd that most people don't see that coming
4/ Balanced (tank) BH: Stable, they use many type of builds (Mass, Shield, Reflex, EMP...ect) and nothing so special about their build. BH is still very strong if used right and with first turn or block they have high chance to win. BH's only weakness is Tanker, which might be nerfed soon (the only Tanker left is TLM anyways) so BH might get up soon. Especially after this update where FM and HA is nerfed (2 most hated skills by BH)
5/ Balanced TM: Getting a lot more common and fairly strong, with high STR and Sup with DA they can do a lot of damage. Especially with more sword skill, Energy Gun Aux + Physical Sword is very common. They can have very high win rate if going first, which is common with advance Sup
6/ SC Mage: Can be very strong, can kill STR and Tank build effective. They start growing but still not enough, just soon...
7/ Sup Mer: Mer is now among least played class, and Sup Mer is the only choice have left. It's strong and amazingly stable, this update nerfed they down to their right level.
8/ Poison TLM: Not much around because most of them play Tank Poison build so can be considered as Tank. It's not as common as before, idk why
9/ STR BH: Still around but rarely seen, it's not very good lately because of TLM smoke. However they are still very useful.
10/ CH is still rarely played compare to what people saying and it's only effective against some build
11/ Staff Mage: rarely seen after ED remove most of its good feature
12/ Tank Mer: the left of Mer beside Sup Mer
13/ Poison BH: Not much around
14/ Balanced BM: BM are rare and this build is not good
15/ Dex BH: Guess not in 1vs1

endtime -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 10:58:50)

After the support stat was rendered useless and strength builds can heal as much as other builds:

1. Str TLM
2. Str BH
Utter Garbage: Every other build.

wario the great -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 11:14:57)

1-tlm
2-blood mage or cyber hunter
3-bounty
4-merc
5-mage

rajkumar -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 12:15:12)

1st in the lead - Ultra focus merc
2nd Rising fast - Focus bh
3rd Rising fast - Blood mage
4th A bit stagnant -Cyber hunter
5th Struggling a bit -Mage
6th Sinking - Merc

supermasivo -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 14:19:45)

Str TLM and BM couse most of people i defeat as CH dont have a clue how to use their chars.
the amazing of BM is thaT CAN make 23-23 /25-25 even with a tanker res with 5 focus... good dex with r. boost a decent str, max deadly aim and a decent hp are really deadly... and they regenerate hp in every turn...

PivotalDisorder -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 15:18:42)

I don't even like support mage build. 5 focus still working perfect for me, I just tweaked a few skills to get a larger field medic
and everything is better than before. I'm a beast in 2v2. I don't play that much, but I win the majority of the unfair fights.

ofc thats just my one character and one build. can someone post the other reasons why mages are last place ?. I personally put mage at no2 :) cyber hunters
have some awesome builds but I cannot seem them any higher than 4th place, still too many mediocre CHs out there. Blood mage makes a strong push for 2nd spot
because the ones that know what they are doing seem to be borderline overpoweredand considering they are at a disadvantage due to the lost of assimilate, thats
impressive. again though too many mediocre BMs around. we all know the "market" is saturated with tac mercs and how effective they are.

Fay Beeee -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 15:26:28)

^ As we are posting our opinion as to where we place classes 1-6 these are only our personal opinions as you have done :)
If they do not wish to elaborate, this is their choice

Wootz -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 15:50:27)

I'd go:
1st - STR Tactical Mercenary
2nd - Blood Mage ( They're getting really good )
3rd - Strenght Cyber Hunter ( That does wonders <3 )
4th - Strenght Bounty Hunter ( Still within the top )
5th - Tech Mage ( 5 focus. May work sometimes. )
6th - Mercenary ( Way underpowered )

The Death Trap -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 16:08:07)

I think that its:

1st Tact Merc
2nd Bounty Hunter
3rd Bloodmage
4th Techmage
5th Cyber Hunter
6th merc

was just asking the question, topic only has 1 page so it applies to anyone who reads it.
I bolded the question cause I was curious what people would answer. you are completely right though, they are free to post whatever they like :)

MirageD -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 17:49:41)

i actually think all classes have great potential....i've tried bh, mage, merc and tlm

i think ppl just have to realize the strengths of each class and focus on those in their builds.....when i was a bh....i used max bloodlust and multi.....ppl thought i was nuts...but i won a lot

when i was mage...i used max malf and plasma bolt....again ppl thought i was nuts...but i won a lot....

you just need to figure out the advantages of your class....and then use them to their full potential (btw...i play 2v2)

nico0las -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 21:12:13)

Here's the way I see it. I'll explain my point of view on each class, as well:

1: Bounty hunter
2: Tactical mercenary
3: Blood mage
4: Cyber hunter
5: Mage
6: Mercenary

Bounty hunter: Everyone has played as a hunter. Why not? It's the most appealing initially. Using wrist blades and grenades? Awesome! But why does it remain, as I see it, at the top? Simple. Because it's so flexible, so used, they can use any build, adapt to any situation, and always come out on top. It's always been there. Since alpha, the hunter has simply abused the leaderboards.

Tactical Mercenary: I bet some are wondering why it's not at the top. Although the class is very powerful, there's a difference between being good, and just taking the easy route.
The class is powerful, but isn't flawless. It needs the user to have the items (such as an assault bot) to come out on top. Tell me how many 33 Tactical mercenaries rely on their assault bots? Far more than the hunters. The class is good, but it needs it's user to be... dedicated enough to spend the resources on whatever it needs.

Blood mage: What is there to say about the blood mage? It's fast, efficient, and pretty freakin' awesome. Not only does it have a variety of unblockables, Physical and energy, but also has several skills you can use in a 5 focus build. I, personally, have never played as a blood mage, but the class seems very powerful. It lacks defenses, but otherwise, it's very good.

Cyber hunter: The underdog is emerging, stronger than ever. So many have taken the "UP" class, and it's turning out to be a beast. With a mix of physical and energy, it's just plain good.

Mage: I understand how many mages there are out there, how many may be reading this, but the class has really lost it's skill. Don't get me wrong, there are some outstanding players who are mages, but unfortunately, those 50 or so are greatly outweighed by the amount of bad players who choose the class. I was a mage, at one point. I simply couldn't handle it. ESPECIALLY now, after the heal and reroute nerf, I feel the mages are struggling to keep their head above water.

Mercenary: The class is dead. No one plays as a mercenary anymore, except the beginners. They have all evolved. Why the class is now so weak, I can't explain. I hope someone will return it to it's former glory, but I doubt that will happen.

ur going to fail -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 21:13:00)

^Many reasons why people are complaining are mainly because they don't like playing only 2-3 kinds of builds to win.

Fay Beeee -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 21:15:29)

^
This is not a complaining post
Just one to state where you think each class is in the food change (top to bottom)

:)

Minus123 -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 21:19:55)

1: TLM
2: BM
3: BH/CH
4: Merc (Not sure why every1 jumped ship from the merc class, or just went straight into a str build, it still works fine for me, since merc wasn't the only class to be affected)
5: Mage

Edit: Course i had to tweak my build a bit.

drinde -> RE: The Food Chain (10/14/2011 22:10:53)

1. Tactical Mercenaries : No surprise, Tank-Poison and STR Builds can pulverize most, and since most of 'em are Var...

2. Bounty Hunters: Using STR Builds, they are fast killers, but can also be cunning with their EMP Grenades and Venom Strikes...

3. BloodMagi: They could be deadly with Bezerks and Fireballs at fast kills, but will be weakened without EP...

4. Cyber Hunters: Not as powerful as Bounty Hunters, they lack the ability to cut out Blocks, but EP Regeneration gives an advantage in prolonged battles...

5. TechMagi: Used to be one of the most fun classes, the nerf to Field Medic has been a harsh blow, but new builds may be rising...

6. Mercenaries: They may still be quite powerful, provided that someone comes out with a new build...

Angels Holocaust -> RE: The Food Chain (10/15/2011 0:36:32)

1. Angels Holocaust

and then it's everybody else. Lol.

redxtra -> RE: The Food Chain (10/15/2011 3:57:08)

1st- tact merc - hybrid/reroute/smoke/auxillery strike... must i say more?
2nd-Bounty hunter- bloodlust helps with health and reflex boost boost your dex up and has a reroute effect
3rd-Cyber Hunter- static charge is grate for str builds and can set up heal loops. with this you dont need a huge pol of energy
4th-blood mage- combined from all 3 starting classes to make this class and has a nice skill tree
5th- tech mage- malfunction with a skill tree f energy based moves added with technician and reroute
6th- merc- good for low levels but after lvl 25 its time for a class change

plasma devastator -> RE: The Food Chain (10/15/2011 4:59:47)

1st- Tactical Mercenary- tank-poison TaMs are OP
2nd- Bounty Hunter- STR builds are getting abit more OP (with tanking?)
3rd- Blood Mage- so far i see them getting up to TaM's level
4th- Tech Mage- SUPP mage still has a chance with Malf
5th- Cyber Hunter- i don't see many of them so i can't measure how they are doing correctly
6th- Mercenary- ever since the dawn of delta i havent seen many of them and they are most likely dead at high-levels
